I've only left groups twice, the first was a Stone Vigil run where the tank was somehow unable to communicate and would only ever tank one mob per pack (and fail at even keeping that single one under control a lot of the time). The second was a Dusk Vigil run with a tank who wanted to pull way too much and I calmly explained that Astrologians have no throughput cooldowns and he'd have to consider his pulls a bit, to which he responded that I should just play another healer then. I left because I really couldn't be bothered with someone with such a shitty attitude, pretty sure he pulled a new pack and probably died just as I left too. I feel bad for the dps but he really had it coming himself.

If the group overall simply cannot meet a dps check and it is blatantly obvious that to stay ... would mean to waste 1 hour ........ (likewise with a person who simply does not understand what to do , even after explanation) ....... I've left groups back in pre 3.0 quite a few times... daily Trial Roulette Titan HM? did 3 people die in 20 seconds for 2 pulls ?

i never left a group, but was almost doing it yesterday...

had a tank that made a good full pull in dzemael first stage, ok nice tank i thought, but then demanded to do the same in the second stage with the red crystals..
as we wiped i asked him why he attempted a full pull in the second stage, he said we where just plain bad dps...
ok, checked his gear, he was a lvl60 war with ilvl 60 stuff... that was the point were i was about to quit but stayed in , drove my pretty good ~180dps(lvl 45, ilvl 41 smn at that time) and was pretty proud on the healer(low geared lvld as me) that he kept up healing all the idiot stuff(tanking groups in range of the red crystals aoe, etc).
througout the whole dungeon i was accused about my bad dps(*180 boss/200+ mobs) and that i should stop writing stuff... regardless the fact that i wrote only a lol on his answer on my question and nothing else^^

Entering a "clear" party and when we wipe someone asks "What do we do for that part?"

Nothing would make me drop a group other than someone continuously being very rude/obnoxious/condescending. I don't care if people don't know a dungeon well or at all. Learning is part of the game. If we wipe, that's fine. That's been my attitude for 8+ years of healing in pve and pvp, and I don't expect it to change in this game. But when people are repeatedly yelling, either via voice or chat, at other players and acting like spoiled little twits, I'm out. There have been times when I was the only healer in a 24-person pvp group and was literally yelled at by a guildie for not healing him even though, as expected, I was the first dead person. Ya gotta have thick skin in an mmo. lol

I drop them all the time when I need like say 100k more exp, I'll do a dungeon until I get that much and then drop. Just kidding lol if only that easy. I rarely drop but have a few times before. Last time was a week ago (before that I can't remember) but had a summoner in the party and they would not stop using Physik on everyone (I'm a WHM). Everyone would be at 100% HP, and the tank would take one hit and go down a sliver, and sure enough Summoner casting Physik on him. Other DPS would take a small hit (the kind that most healers would actually ignore because they will regen it themselves anyway, plus I keep Medica II up as well). Was getting annoying because it wasn't like I couldn't heal, it was like around a level 40 dungeon where no one was really taking damage and no one ever wiped, so definitely wasn't because I was lacking, they just wouldn't stop. I finally told them to give it a rest because it was making the other pulls take foreverrrrrrr because we basically had 1 DPS and 2 healers. When I asked they DPS and not Physik since I have it under control, they literally just stood there spamming Physik on me over and over and over, then the tank told me to lighten up that they can do whatever they want! So I just stopped healing the Summoner only everyone else since I was like you seem to have it under control, in which case the summoner of course wiped super fast, but by that point we weren't even at the first boss yet and were pushing 25 minutes into it so I was like screw this, told them have fun finding another healer and dropped.

I'd never drop just because I was mad or the group was bad, but when people are purposely being a jerk or playing their role totally wrong, making everything take 3x longer than it should, or giving attitude non stop, then I have little patience.

I leave when it becomes obvious that there are fundamental issues that will ensure we cannot clear. Not failures to clear or new people - I'll explain any fight in the game, and I'll run a trial til time runs out if we're making even a little bit of progress and people are learning.

What I wont sit through it people who, after dying a dozen times, and having explanations all but physically crammed into them, refuse to acknowledge mechanics. People who wont dodge ground affects, people who wont stack, healers and summoners who refuse to raise, dps that are not using some, most, or any of their skills, tanks who refuse to swap, turn stances on, or even, you know, tank. I'm here for a duty. If that requires me to explain that duty, fine. If that requires me to explain fundamental concepts like 'dodge the glowy bits' or 'White Mages are healers,' then no. I'm out. Have fun.

Warriors who think all there is to tanking is stacking slaying acc.
Then they pull everything they can, don't pop defensive cooldowns, and lose hate.
Then they get angry when things go sideways.

    Aka War McSupertank. Aka Demikas

I honestly expected to see more DRKs like this after the expac, but I've only have a few bad ones. I'm beginning to groan everytime I see a warrior now.

    Silence.

The same people doing the same thing, every time, over and over with the same result ....wipe. And rather than communicate, they remain silent. For instance you ask people to call positions and you get those 2 people that just refuse to answer. Eventually you start the fight and hope for the best. Those same 2 people the fail the mechanics. You ask again, same results. No response and they remain problematic.

People can use the "I play on a controller" excuse all they want but it's an online game and if you're going to play in a group setting, then find a way to communicate. Even basic yes or no answers are better than nothing. If you're just going to be a mute meatsack that won't grow or learn mechanics, then I'm not going to stick around so you can drag me down with you.
