So do you think Estinien will live to be part of future events (most likely just minor side events) or die in 3.X era Main Storyline? As of now there is only two outcomes with Estinien's fate now being either life or death.

His body is only possessed by Nidhogg so it may be possible to save him if we can find a way to remove Nidhogg's eyes influence on him but then again we may be forced to kill Estinien so we can kill Nidhogg for good.

So I'm beating Estinien may die in 3.X era.

As I heard Estinien is still in the dragoon quest as nanamo was still in the cul quest, so i would assume he is comming back

Well you have to treat the level 30 to 50 Job quests as past events that happened before 3.0. When you do the DRG lvl 30 to 50 Job quest the dialogue is set to 2.0 era so playing the DRG lv 30 to 50 quest in 3.0 will not change the event nor dialogue.

By default the level 30 to 50 Job quest is happening during 2.X era before the events of 2.55.

It is a bit of a issue other players are finding unconfortable with since the lvl 30 to 50 Job quest are set to be happening in 2.X era so that part of the Job storyline is out of consistency with the timeline events but guess that is what happens when a side-character suddenly becomes a Main Character of the storyline.

Makes me wonder how will they handle Widargelt if 4.0 is the story arc for Ala Mhigo.

Yeah not really buying that.
I mean i understand what you mean and if the Job quest would be neccessarily be made in 2.55 or before then yes. but as you will be able to start your dragoon quests whenever you want (and be it in 10.5) i doubt that they would not Change the quest when killing off one of the instructors.

If they start bringing back people who are dead then this game sucks ass at storytelling. Hauchy literally took a spear thing into the stomach. He wasn't even that important of a character
and no one cared about him and even thought he could be a traitor after all this happened. He is dead, on a grave near Ishgard. Let the man rest in peace.
Ysayle got blasted plenty of times and fell into the skies. Please do not bring people who are 'dead' back. I love those 2 characters but it's better storytelling that way.
They ruined Nanamo's story, big time and I love her. Glad she's back, but oddly enough I'd be happier if she died, and Rauhbahn turned crazy or something. The whole Ul'dah story
was pretty terribly written in this patch. People become too sympathetic and never want a 'bad ending' like Edda...Do not give Edda a happy ending. More lil' shorts of her is alright but nothing more.
This game suffers from 'This really really sucks' and has done pretty well so far, despite the Ul'dah thing...I cried on Hauchy. ><

I think that is exactly what they will do (with hauchefant being the exception as we saw him die) i think everyone of the scions, ysaile, estinien and whoever vanishes in the future whitout a clear death will come back.
Is this bad Story telling and getting extremly predictable and boring after a while? Yeah
Do I think SE cares? No not really.

He was surpressing Nidhogs power during the entire fight, without him we would not have a Chance against that Dragon that is for sure.

For the Dragon Blood: in some Storys Dragon blood grants immortality or other nice thinks so maybe that's why (yeah i know it didn't really work in the end, but who knows what Story they have with bathing in the blood os Dragons)

I'm thinking we'll end up killing Nidhogg in 3.something (maybe 3.55) which will result in Estinien's death. But who knows after they pulled that Nanamo stunt?

Estinien is now fused into Nidhogg and may or may not also have Lahabrea lodged in his face. It will be an...interesting future for sure.
