New Rare Spawn FATE's in Heavensward: How they work.

I've seen Part 2 spawn west and east of Tailfeather. The east one's on the road towards Coerthas Western Highlands. It spawned there again today. Updated the post with X,Y.

Any new infos about theses fates?

Does anyone have more information on the fate "Prey Online". what triggers it? is it on a timer or a fate chain? does one simply go to the zone and hope the weather changes?

I would like to know as well. I need dem horns.

We've pretty much already figured everything out for the Coeurlregina FATE chain as well as Vedrfolnir's conditions and requirements.


The only FATE we, or maybe just I, still can't seem to grasp is Prey Online. People have been reporting that Hyperelectricity spawned right after they killed one of the A's or S rank. Then there are others who say it's connected to a certain group of FATE's in Azys Lla. While others say it's just random that there are no pre-req's for the FATE to appear. I have not myself been able to see or do this FATE and we have very little information from forum posters on it, save for locations. We don't know how long it takes for it to respawn. (because people haven't been able to be there for two spawns in a row it seems.)

"Long Live the Coeurl" on 21:35 @ 13th of July GMT + 8 x36, y24. Yellow/green "Royal Levin" weather. Gold completion awards one Coeurlregina horn.
"Coeurls Chase Boys" on 04:50 @ 14th of July GMT + 8 x36, y27. Yellow/green Royal Levin weather. Gold completion awards three Coeurlregina horns.
"Coeurls Chase Boys Chase Coeurls" on 08:40 @ 14th of July GMT + 8 x12, y12. Red/black Royal Levin weather. Gold completion awards five Coeurlregina horns.

I hang out at Azys Lla while crafting for scrips but unfortunately, I have only seen Hyperelectricity twice: once while I was doing the end-game quests and I did not know what it meant back then, the other time was when it was called out by the people in a Hunts linkshell. People don't call out the Proto-Ultima event nowadays so all I could get from my linkshell info was that the strange weather lasted for only a few Eorzean hours (about 5 IRL minutes).

At this point we really need to know what the respawn rate and trigger is on this FATE. Most people have reported the weather spawning after an A or S rank was killed in the area. Yet it probably is on a cooldown so it doesn't spawn all the time when an S or A is killed.

The first time I witnessed Hyperelectricity was Day 3 of early access before many had flight and before there were enough people to even reliably hunt A and S ranks. The reason that so many catch sight of it during A and S ranks is that they are in the zone hunting the A/S rank when it occurred.

Prey Online (Hyperelectricity) is likely timed just like Odin, Behemoth and Couerlregina.

~10 Fates were added in 3.01, all of them being level 57+ and require flight to access.

I would not be surprised if 3.05 adds the odinesque scaling level 60 Proto-Ultima Fate.

Coeurlregina FATE Part 1 completed at 10:35 pm. Part 2 spawned at 5:15 am but failed. Anyone know if there is a chance for Part 3 to spawn if Part 2 fails?

There were no new Achieve's for FATE's added so I doubt this. :\

Part 2 failed 7/17/15 @5:15am. Part 1 spawned again today, 7/18/15 and died at 9:18pm. If going by when Part 1 spawned two days ago (7/16/15, 10:25pm), FATE chance seems to be every 2 days-ish.

I already know of this. What I was saying was that no new achievements that were tied to FATE's were added, thus a continuation of Prey Online FATE was not included. And most of those FATE's with their descriptions are unrelated to Proto-Ultima.

Prey online poped around 2:47am pacific 7/25/15 on midgardsormr. Here i was, minding my own business, punching beastkin in the face in the delta quadrant to see if i could spawn an S rank and Ultima shows up shooting lasers like nobodies business. We found the fate with 10 minutes left (north most spawn point), killed the extraction unit *bumps completion to around 40%~* and managed to get the boss to 43% before time ran out. 2 plates for our efforts, now its the waiting game to see how long it takes till it re-spawns again. On that note i went back as soon as fate had ended and A rank Stench Blossom had spawned in the same area of delta quadrant i had been farming, not sure if that's linked to anything but its mighty suspicious. I know its not much data to go on but at least its a sighting, hope this helps in some way

Prey Online popped on Monday ~2:00am EST on Balmung, then again today ~8:00am EST. So I think there is a 4-5 day reset on the FATE, though I also heard a rumor that it shows up multiple times on spawn day? No clue. I'm stilling in Azys Lla right now to see if that's true, but if not, I think the next spawn for Balmung will be on Tuesday/Wednesday.
