PS3 is being dropped at 4.0 they showed a slide that said so back in E3's live letter, just after they talked about the invite a friend campaign upgrade if I recall well

So then he lied about dropping PS3 after 3.0? Thats 4.0, Im fairly certain we will get a 3.2, 3.4, 3.7....ect.
