No?Group gear needs to stop surpassing raid gear every single cycle.
Raid gear will surpass group gear again too. That's how item progression works.
Deal with it.

OR. We could have 8-12 relevant raid encounters and have group gear stay under raid gear for the expansion cycle. But I know I know if raid gear is better everyone who doesn't raid would quit because they can't have gear 50 ilvls higher than the dungeons they run.
Newer players to MMO games will likely draw from their experiences playing FPS games, GTA, Dragon Age, Skyrim, etc.. and they will evaluate a MMO based on that criteria. But other online games (and offline RPGs) are designed to be picked up, played for maybe 5 months and then abandoned for when the next big game comes along. A Veteran MMO gamer knows that the experience of the game is stretched out over years, and if crafted properly, it leaves players with some of the best gaming experiences to be found anywhere. This is the problem most content is solo and you get your group action from a cross-server queueing tool. This is not like older MMOs where servers developed real communities. It's more like MacDonald's Drive-Thru, where you queue up, do your run, then never meet those people again.
And yet people constantly begged for level cap increases. Funny thing, that.We could still learn new skills with out leveling FFXI didn't raise their level cap from 75 for a long time instead they put in the merit system that made it so instead of exp you get merit exp that you can then use to customize your job with new ability's traits and boost your stats also boost existing and new ability's. So no we don't really need a level cap raised every expansion.
Or we could have both? AA system was literally the best thing to ever happen to EQ. Gave you plenty of progression to do once you hit the lvl cap to improve your character in meaningful ways. New skills, passive buffs, etc. They can put in the equivalent of a merit system AND give lvls just fine.We could still learn new skills with out leveling FFXI didn't raise their level cap from 75 for a long time instead they put in the merit system that made it so instead of exp you get merit exp that you can then use to customize your job with new ability's traits and boost your stats also boost existing and new ability's. Though personally I'd want a much more intensive system than the XI merit system.

They already have that is called system settings for duty finder run with the non recommended amount. I was running low lvl dungeons by my self at level 60 and destroying everythingThe only thing that really needs changing is the level synching for duties that are lower level than you are.
The level synch as it works today prevents you from using higher level abilities, skills and spells. Which makes it more annoying to run low level duties than it needs to be.
Change the synch feature so that we have full access to everything we have learned, even if at gimped potency, and things would be much better.
Now for this actual post. .. I enjoy the leveling process hell I'm leveling more than one character because I like the leveling and the story line. I can't wait for the next level cap raise

I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
He is talking about doing the roulette and being put in a lvl 15 dungeon and not having access to your skills. What you are talking about is not related at all.
Back in 2.0 cycle nothing was more annoying than going into a roulette and having your combos no longer exist.

It's still something that can be done so it is valid especially if your running with a new player and don't feel like having the cap

Another butt hurt kid that wasn't old enough to play it when it came out, and therefore thinks it's terrible because it's not Call of Duty.
I do ready the text box
tons of filler quests that are boring as hell: and obviously there for filler purposes. seriously who isnt skipping the standard quest textboxes?
its just running from exclamation mark to the next marker on the map to kill 2 trash mob goblins.. which i already had hundreds of times ago with different mob types. wohoo.. "how fun"..
THIS should be FUN??
What I like about Heavensward Side quest is that they now have Side-Storyline Side Quests which each of them covering a part of FF14 Lore and characters life outside of their role in the MSQ.
Like the Moogle Side-storyline quest that explains the origins of the Moogles.
There even a Side-storyline quest in Toll at lvl 54 that foreshadows a future event in FF14 either being a new Dungeon or Hildibrand Season 2.
Judging by the second post on this thread. I would say the community begs to differ OP.
