Dijana means 'heavenly' or 'divine', long ago I used it (ironically) for characters that had a dark/evil theme to their class in a few games (although the character herself was never meant to be evil), until I picked up FFXI and wanted to be summoner which was described as the heretic mage. I kept the name when I moved onto XIV and based my character after my XI one (although now she's an au ra so it doesnt matter). Since there was no suitable class to match that theme really, the name became less ironic in XIV with the whole warrior of light business.

Although now Im playing DRK so the whole situation of falling into the abyss and the dark side, while also being the warrior of light, is a pretty ironic thing, Im not sure how 'heavenly' and 'divine' fit anymore.

My main character Leyna Crosse I picked out of thin air. The name just came to me.
I just recently created an Au Ra alt, and named her Sybil Mol

Sybil being the name of an Oracle (and a throw back to FFXI star Sybil) and Mol being one of the lore friendly tribe names for the Au Ra. "A small tribe of devout worshippers of the elder gods, the Mol will consult with their deities (via a shaman conduit) before making any tribe-related decisions, from the direction of their next migration, to the beasts they will hunt each day for food."

I feel like that name made her sound like she was one of the Shaman's who consulted with the deities.

Since I'm a Hellsguard, I can use any combo I want. However, I set him as just-out-of-village Roe so still trying to keep the "traditional" last name.

{Denk - Kryst} was a cheating combo: to form a name it need to be short enough. so I spent long time to find how to cheat the system. Denkryst was my solution.

Super strick traditionally, it should be

{Denkyr - Kryst} Think-ing crystal

but I reversed and merged the Denkyr to Kryst to form the "traditional last name" Denkryst while it's shorter... or you can say it's {Denk - Kryst} Think Crystal

I have been Mills all over the internet and in other MMOs. I picked Lugae cuz well. Dr. Lugae was pritty cool in FFIV. Tho I have gone thru a few other name changes before this one. The the 1st name is always Mills in some way even if it's just M I L for the 1st part of the name.

I used to play a male Harani in ArchAge so I searched male chinese names on the internet and found Yuen
I'm pretty bad with creating names and I liked the sound of it so I also named a female human in defiance Yuen and now my character here.

H'ghar comes from Jaqen H'ghar from Game of Thornes since I'm a huge fan of the series, the character and the sound of it

When I first started, I tried to figure out everything about my character. I decided she'd be a Lalafell Miner, and so I decided to go with the Dunesfolk.
I looked up the naming conventions. AAB AB.
My name in real life is Dara, which suited perfectly.

So, Dadara came about. But Dadara Dara seemed too much.
Then I remembered how my favorite trope in FF, bar Chocobos and airships, is the mechanic called Cid.

So, I decided to take a less conventional name. There are always exceptions to naming conventions.
And so, Dadara Cidra was born.
