Long story from mine. Jaou Stormchaser is an RP night elf from Warcraft RP I write as. I usually have another character named Sundar Stormchaser (who is actually my druid main from WoW, and whose name I also use for writing RP) to play as well. I usually use either classes/jobs or hair colour to differentiate the two as well in the games I play as them (Sundar with blackish hair and either monk/druid type with Jaou being purple haired as a ranger/lancer). I wanted Sundar to be the Monk and Jaou to be the Dragoon, but after ARR beta, I wanted to main Monk and I preferred the purple haired look to my, then, Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te, so he ended up being Jaou.

As for the actual origin of Jaou, I was trying to come up with a name in the process of making the character, and I was watching my favourite Saint Seiya movie, and well... Lynx Jaō had a nice name. It was ambiguous enough for me to use. ^_^;;

I also have a few alts planned named after Saint Seiya characters, like an Elezen named Camus De'Verseau, which would be after Aquarius Camus. Trying to bend their names to fit in with naming conventions.

My first name Rannie ended up being an endearment/nickname an ex boyfriend gave me when we would talk online in a program called The Palace ( used the screen name Ran - Chan from Ranma 1/2) Now I've come to find its an alt spelling for the Sanskrit girls name of Rani and seems to be used as a boys name too happy day lol.... any way I've used that for 17 years...

the last name Lfey well just a shortening of La fey or Le fey and that's more from Arthurian myths.

My alt char Chibbles N'bits who is a miqo'te well that came from me making fun of the dog food kibble n'bits.....

Chukkaque. It's a name I've used for 10 years. I used to use ChuQ (choo-ck) and one day I was playing Halo online and someone melee'd me from behind and said "What's up now Chukkaque!(Chuck-uh-q)" So I spawn killed him repeatedly until he dropped game, and then kept the pronunciation. Then I eventually made the "Extended" version.

Comes from a story I made a very long time ago, been using Sayoko as character name in games for years now. Special meaning for me to use this name, though most will assume its some random name I thought up for this game.

I use the name Renault with all of my created characters, and the roughly same appearance if I can. It used to be just Ren (which most call me as a nickname for Renault anyway), which I decided on as a kid because I loved that old cartoon The Pirates of Dark Water and the main character, who was named Ren. But later I decided to make it a nickname for Renault later in life to make it a bit more unique than just ripping off the character's name.

My last name is that way because my character is the brother of Remiel Cathetel on my server (and we are twin brothers in real life). Rem's first and last name both come from the angel hierarchy.

I have created several characters to try out different races to get a feel for them and different classes. One is a bit silly but very close to naming conventions.

Seeker of the Sun - K'nami Kode ( Konami Code. Everyone should know what this is.)
Lalafell - Omnomnom Nomnom
Midlander - Chanterelle Maiorana (First name is a mushroom. Got the name from Buffy, the last name is Celtic for Mayor)
Highlander - Brishelle Stormblade (First name means born during rain so I chose the last name because she will learn every class job that uses blades.)
Xaela - Chakha Kha (Sounds like Chaka Khan)
Hellsguard - Laughing Rain (Got the idea from a movie called 7 BLows of the Dragon aka The Water Margin aka Outlaws of the Marsh)

I finally settled on the Highlander.
