Seles comes from Seles Wilder, Zelos Wilder's sister from Tales of Symphonia. I really liked the game and Zelos is one of my favorite characters ever. Having Zelos as a name would be kinda funny but I decided to use Seles as it sounds really nice for a name.

Alpselon, if I remember correctly was made from combining Alpha, Seles, and Epsilon all into one chimera of a name. I don't think it sounds too bad from the way I pronounce it so I'm sticking with it!

I chose the name for my character, Ren Kurosaki, because the meaning behind it:

Ren means lotus while Kurosaki means black mantle. The lotus is the symbol of hope and the black mantle represents darkness. During the darkest times, hope (lotus) is like a shield to keep one from falling to despair (darkness) - that's how I see my character. She protects the people she cares about from danger and she's a supporter- she brings hope.

Being that I am a roleplayer, Sakura was named after her white locks when she was born, which looked like the white cherry trees in her village. Her family name she discarded after the Garlean empire slaughtered her family, upon arriving to Eorzea, she took the moniker "Heavensgazer," not only to honor her family's profession of being men and women of astrological and meteorological knowledge, but also as a reminder that she survived and must look ever upwards to new heights.

Fan of the Disgaea series so gaea was my first choice. Wasn't sure what it meant so apparently it meant Earth when I looked it up. Raifu means life in japanese (its actually normally spoken that way) and Kuro means dark or shadow. It was suppose to give my character a type of name that would reflect her lifestyle. A biased and corrupt world, but its her home and she'll make the best out of it.

She isnt dull though, she's a playful hero (and a little evil when its necessary), and my friends even gave me the nickname Raif (even though they pronounce it rafe for some reason lol)
