Reasonable price to relinquish land?

Hi, all!

I'm currently scraping together money to buy a small lot, and I'm totally not picky; I don't care what city, and I don't care about the location within the ward.

That said, I'm on Exodus, and there are NO houses available. I saw one medium the other day, and it was snatched up almost instantly. So I see my options as either wait for 3.1 and PRAY they add more houses and that I can get to one fast enough, or try to pay someone to relinquish their lot. Given my work schedule, I'm pretty sure paying a player for their lot is about the only way I'll get one.

If there are no lots currently available, and the server price for a small is $4M (that's the max, but I'd rather over-budget than under), about how much should I be prepared to shell out to a player for the privilege? I hate to go looking for a seller, only to find that I've badly underestimated the price, and wasted their time.

Also, while I haven't been able to find any reliable data on pricing, I have read that you should expect the seller to provide the building permit along with the sale. Is that correct?

I imagine it various from server to server. Considering no one from actually Exodus has posted here I wouldnt take it to serious.

Also there many factos to go into the price. Location, Ward number, Which residential area, and is person desperate sell (moving to big house) or house squatting.

On Faerie, personally I would give number anywhere between 200k - 800k.

The prices for a small plot on Exodus range from $3.2M -- $4M, but I'm not aware of how to tell the grade of the plot except by checking the starting price. I mean, I could see something close to a market board and bell, or a scenic view being more valuable, but beyond that, I don't really know. How would you tell? And the funny thing is, I only ask because I don't want to pay premium price for a low-grade plot; I really don't care where the plot is--I'd take any small on the server.

I hope this helps you in determining where and what kind of plot you are looking to buy. Also by the way it doesn't matter where the location is market board wise it's more about the view. There are some plots that are considered grade 5 even though they are smack dab next to a MB because they are surrounded by other houses and you don't get a view by the outside. It seems plot's are more graded based on view, size, and location of MB/ Overall location. Good luck!

Yeah I'm located on Plot 1 in the Lavender Beds. I personally like it a lot. Nice view on a waterfall and out into the mountains.

It's economics, there's no supply and a ton of demand, of course people will take the highest price they can get. I personally bought my small house right on launch of the personal housing system, but I'd gladly pay 20mill to own one had I started playing after all wards were taken. Gil comes and goes but your house is there forever.
