    Players can never fail to attach the first piece of materia. However, the success rate progressively decreases with each subsequent piece of materia. A failed attempt to attach materia will result in the loss of all items involved in the process, barring the key item.
    not too excited about this part.
    whatever gear we want to put materia on, most likely is gonna be our best gear >.> i dont think im too hyped up to hear that any more than 1 materia has a chance to make my valuable gear, break.

    +2+3 gear? forget it no ones gonna touch it >.>

    thats why you have the OPTION to not go further then 1 materia
    if you want more, you take the risk, you know the risk ahead of time too so its not like its sneakling up and surprising you


    those who want that 5 slotted gear are gonna work their asses off for it(and itl cost them alot)

    I agree with this, plus it will give some people a goal to work toward to, adding some extra "content".

    ^pretty much this. It's really hard for some people to comprehend apparently, a few people here seem to think it's absolutely necessary.

    you can only blame the fact people think this way on min/max guilds in other games, that many players have had to put up with for who knows how long.
    we even got a few of those shells floating around here already(several of which promote botting/exploiting to get away with it too, not naming names, but they do exist)

    Oh I'm sure, and yeah I've seen that in other games too. I tend to steer clear of these kinds of players though, part of the reason I mainly play with my Linkshell as they're a laid-back/non-elitist group.

    I'm hoping it has a low cap. 30% isn't too bad of a risk for a fully augmented piece of gear. I'm sure they'll be traits (or, ironically enough, augmented gear) you can get to decrease the chances of critical failures.
