So consumerism gives you the right to harass and threaten the developers, okay...
They do recognize it

They already looking at it, in progress of finding a solution without destroying game balance, they would also like to see them in raids before breaking the game.
Those that been here long enough remember when the first coil came out, BRD was demanded heavily that each party bring at least 1-2 of them until the damage nerf.

You're overreacting. You've assumed that directing a complaint toward a company for breaking aspects of their product is "harassment" and declining to pay them for said product after a reasonable time passes is a "threat". You're wrong; it's called "feedback".
I'm aware of what you've cited. Those statements prompted this thread; there is little there that is substantive, and what is promised indicates that SE does not think there are serious issues. They're wrong.
Again, it's not my intent to get into a drama-fest with certain factions in the community, but to simply let SE know what I think. So I'll consider my purpose served.
Your original post could have been a bit more polite but otherwise I agree. Quitting a game you don't like is the mature thing to do. Boycots are a good thing for the consumers because it puts pressure on companies to better their products. I think your critique is reasonable and for the sake of all bards and machinists I hope it gets fixed soon. You have a nice day too!In the context of consumerism and a competitive economy with many entertainment options available, my reaction here is entirely reasonable and fair; your criticisms are not. We are, after all, talking about a product in a commodity-based market... not a religion, cause, or tribe.
Have a nice day!

Not a rant, not a rage-quit, not meant for anyone in the community; only SE.
Square Enix, you have a deadline. I have 3 weeks left on my monthly subscription. You have that long to: (a) fix the myriad problems with machinist dps, or (b) fix the problems with bard stances and mobility, or (c) give the community a commitment to do one or the other by a specific, reasonable date. (Waiting until after Alex is not "reasonable".)
Otherwise, I'll withdraw my subscription. There are other games out there for me to play or go back to, and it is not worth my time and money to be asked consistently to leave a dungeon in the first 30 seconds, because my one character is a bard and my other character is a machinist. (Yes, I can return to BLM, but I never liked the lack of mobility, and there are other games with mobile dps "battle mages".)
That's all. Answer, don't answer, do as you see fit, SE. But now you know my position.
Thanks for the fun, up until Heavensward level 55.
Let me preface this by saying I agree with you. Bards suck right now and you are completely right on that side of the problem. I don't think Wanderer's Minuet really should be fixed, it adds an interesting dimension to play and an interesting choice to each boss battle that I find refreshing. Should I contribute more to DPS or should I keep my mobility. I don't think we should be allowed both. unless you want to have it drain Mana or something.
Balance in an asymmetric multiplayer game is inherently cyclical. Yes, sometimes you will be down on the charts and that really sucks but some day you will be back up. We Bards got 2 years on the top of the mountain, both being able to contribute insane DPS (seriously, I could solo bosses in Vanilla) and being a crowd favourite among healers. Admit it, we could afford to be taken down a peg.
That does not at all mean that we are in a good spot balance wise. Healers still love me but my amazing rotation has fallen out of favor for a lancer that I watched literally 2 shot the adds on Curator. On top of that, nobody listens to bottom DPS. I got kicked from a PUG yesterday for "harassment" for daring to ask the tank to pop cooldowns. Nobody respects us any more and its frustrating, its why I'm working up Marauder so that I can tank and not get abused.
That being said.
Alexander is an unacceptable wait? He comes out in 3 days. Yes, Bard sucks right now, but your stress level is at a 10, it needs to be a 2. Do you have any idea how long it takes to get anything done in game dev?
First you need to submit a design doc and a pitch that explains whats wrong, why its wrong and why its worth redirecting money and coders from things like additional servers and bug fixes. Then you need to find a handful of programmers that haven't already had massive heart attacks from the pressure and throw them on this extremely pedantic task that nobody wants to do. Afterwards, you need testers because obviously the slightest fix would bring the entire game down or do something ridiculous like disable a boss's core mechanics (google Rogue Bomb Lich King some day and lament the squad of dudes you know got fired). Once that's done you need to cold reboot the servers because nothing like this can be live patched and after that you need to buy about 5 kilos of marijuana to fight the PTSD incurred by your community managers because they have to listen to the hand full of Bards bitching about how they are now second on the DPS charts. This is not the type of matter that one can simply throw a switch, grind everything to a halt, slam it out in 8 hours and have it back in place before the kids get home from summer camp.
I am really sorry to lash at you like this. I understand how much this blows and needs to be fixed ASAP. We just need to give SE some time. Trust me, they will fix it. Until then level your fishing. Its actually pretty relaxing.

I'd hardly call their OP a critique. They offer nothing constructive and they vaguely cite issues that they request be solved in an arbitrary deadline or they will quit. The OP is free to be dissatisfied, but their OP is nothing but an ultimatum that SE would be wise to ignore and instead focus their attention on the constructive and beneficial feedback given elsewhere.
Learn to play the job better maybe? Taking a job only to a certain point and saying it's garbage isn't exactly being fair. Looking at your Lodestone, you... you don't even have certain cross-class abilities to help it out. :/
