    beast master suggest

I been think about this alot. I really want see this job. Here my suggest we 4 or 5 tribe of beast men who use different mounts. since these beast men tame them what if these beast men are job quest giver for the beast master quest. or representative for them is. each beast men has rebel against his or her gods and chose walk different paths. so these guys could be teacher to the beast master job. the pet system would a build a bond between beast and beast master the stronger the bond the stronger the pet.

I think whip that use in combat and not on beast would awesome weapon. it orignal weapon a beast master

i would love to see a beast master as a job. but to be honest i think it would come out from archer. But one thing that has always gotten me was the description of one of the bards new abilities Warden's Paean witch reads (Creates a barrier on a target party member or PET nullifying the next detrimental effect suffered. Can be used with other songs.) did they accidently hint that bards will be having pets. are they goinf the pied piper route with the bard controlling animals with song if so am totally ok with this.

Eh, Ranger in GW2 uses Bow as well. Though I imagine BST would use 1-handed Axes in FFXIV, as they did in XI.

As long as it plays as an actual beast tamer class like how it was supposed to play in FFXI and not the lame Pokemon rip-off it became when the 'jug' monsters were implemented, I'm all for this.

    Hating to hate.

But how do you mean? Jug pets are what made BST even remotely viable in exp situations for most of its life, but beyond that... Unless SE allows decides BST's can now tame random pieces of machinery, it'll be useless in a lot of dungeons where no monsters exist for them to tame. So it'll probably play much like SMN in that we can call pets forth. Cause I don't think a BST without a pet in you know, Allagan dungeons, is going to be much help to a party.

FFXI at least had "Charming" field monsters, I don't see a mechanic like that making its way into XIV, it'd probably be quest related and we "Tame" monsters during the quests to be able to call them forth similar to SMN, and Jug pets.

Beast Master is a Job I'd definitely be interested in.

I know not everyone might be happy with this, but it might require being able to summon pets that are permanently unlocked in order to be viable. Although I could imagine it might have as much in the way of options as Blue Mage might for abilities to learn.

As for "taming", I can imagine it might work similarly to the mechanic used in some leves, but via a Job ability instead of an emote. That and you probably couldn't tame something part of an event or quest that's required to be killed.

If there really is a "pet glamour system" coming so Summoners can get more summons, I can imagine this would be invaluable for Beast Master. It'd allow the player to tame anything within reason, although they'd only have "slots" for a certain number of pets active/equipped for summoning. And the "summoning" could be via a whistle call.

As for the weapon, I agree that a whip might be a good choice. It's unique and (relatively) fits the Beast Master Job. It's also kinda iconic to it. Also has good potential for debuffs to enemies, like stuns and snares, which could also help keep pets able to stay in attack range.
