It depends on whether or not you played 1.0, and if so, how far you got in the story. The 2.0 story plays out the same regardless, but if you have a legacy character who made sufficient progress in the 1.0 story, Minfillia has additional lines when you first meet where she marks you as the same Warrior of Light from 1.0. I believe it goes on to say her possession of the Echo is the only reason she remembers you while everyone else in the world forgot, including the other Scions. That's also the only time the dialog is different so far as I'm aware.

No, there's a whole cutscene with Cid when he gets his memories back, as well as one after Praetorium. Count Edmont also mentions that we defeated two Imperial Legatuses early in Heavensward. There are others as well, I think, but I can't remember them off the top of my head.

Did he say that he remembered you and the floating isle and how you both thought that it had ended it that day and to not worry a person of your talents would be remembered? That was the added cut scene for that part.

A theory;
Have the people come to expect us to save them from their misfortunes? To fetch their feral cats off roofs or gather twenty rare herbs from the far flung reaches of Eorzea to cure their mother's slight cough?
When something terribly bad goes wrong, I dread to think what will happen when they hope that we will save them, as we always have. I dread to think what could happen if the collectively think this and wish for someone to save them again...

Theoretically, could we end up with a Warrior of Light Primal on our hands...? A twisted ideal image?

It could happen. Probably not untill the very end of FFXIV, but it certainly could.

Another possibility is to end up like class zero in type-0. People were so used to us saving them that when tempus finis came and class zero couldn't solve it immediately, people started resenting them and eventually saw them as villains.
