    A worrying thought about our fame...

    Think back on the amount of things our characters have been through; of all the Primals we've slain, the threats we've put an end to and all the people we've saved. We're getting very well known and (as implied in the DRK Questline) increasingly relied upon.

    A theory;
    Have the people come to expect us to save them from their misfortunes? To fetch their feral cats off roofs or gather twenty rare herbs from the far flung reaches of Eorzea to cure their mother's slight cough?
    When something terribly bad goes wrong, I dread to think what will happen when they hope that we will save them, as we always have. I dread to think what could happen if the collectively think this and wish for someone to save them again...

    Theoretically, could we end up with a Warrior of Light Primal on our hands...? A twisted ideal image?

    That's a good question. What happens when we eventually die? We probably won't get a answer any time soon but a Primal version of us doesn't seem like it would be too out of nowhere. After all, there was other primals that were summoned because of legend and fame. Shiva for example.

    i have little doubt that someone will try to summon us as a primal after our end. ascians are funny that way.

    maybe i'll give my other self the yoke when i'm done in eorzea, we can't have that.

    This is very much a possibility. The game has gone out of its way to show us how famous we are in 3.0 and how much the common people rely on us to defend them. If any situation were to arise where we were unable to save the day (we wouldn't even need to be dead, just unavailable) there would be a risk of the citizens trying to summon us out of desperation. I even wonder if this was the ascians' original plan for us; having an entire continent summon a primal would surely be more damaging to Hydaelyn than just a beast tribe or city.

    As Alberel says, this has been a suspicion for a long while now, but the Ascians seem a bit conflicted now.

    Either way, we should probably get some PSAs out to the public about praying to/for any person, place or thing whilst near large quantities of aether, yeah?

    Most likely not their original plan, though I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did consider it for a while. I say probably not the original plan because the second Ascian we meet is Lahabrea, who tells us that our continued existence is incompatible with his plans. Unless that was just him doing his own thing.

    As I recall from the end of the Final Coil storyline...

    This is precisely the reason Alisaie decides Loiusoix's transformation after Carteneau must be kept secret, as enough people with that knowledge would, without hesitation, summon him to complete Eorzea's rebirth. Now that we know that there isn't really anything "special" required to make an image projectable as a primal...

    I'd say we can look forward to becoming a primal around the "proper time in the storyline" when primal summoning becomes possible for players. I'm assuming that means there will be a point when we better understand the real "cost" of primal summoning and find a way to be okay with it.

    The real danger is from the snowball effect this is going to cause. As per Lahabrea's final words, our power is encroaching on the realm of gods. The more power we attain and the more people we save, the more followers we create. The more people relying on us, the more they turn to us and pray for salvation from evil. Eventually, like Louisoix, we run the risk of becoming what we hate most, a primal.

    Lahabrea telling us that living is bad for his plans lines up perfectly with summoning us as a Primal. We die, people want us back...bam, primal WoL

    I'd be a pretty awesome primal.

    FF16, you get to fight the warriors of light from FF14.
