Makes you wonder why they haven't bother with the of WoLs from 5 years ago. Though it seems like they're just a distant memory while our character became The Warrior of Light in the hearts and mind of people.

Additionally, as far as I remember, many of the major fights that took place was pretty much solo unlike most of the fights in 2.XX where we could gather a party of skilled adventurers

Eh some of us from "5" years ago are back and kicking primal ass =).

Honestly it would still take the people a shit ton of crystals to even summon us as a primal. It did at cartenau as well and millions of people praying.

The 2 stories were merged into one as 2.x progressed. That way SE would only have to design cut scenes and dialog once, saving time and resources. 1.0 was essentially retconned into 2.0 and is dead and burried.

I'd also like to point out that 2.0's new players and the 1.0 Legacy Players weren't the 1st Warrior(s) of Light as it's implied (Vaguely) that Hydaelyn always selects Warriors of Light to bring the next Astral Era. With them seemingly showing up just before an Umbral Era and ushering in the new Astral era. (The Archons of the 6th Umbral Era possibly being the previous group prior to us now)

So it stands to reason that the WoL would never be needed bad enough between appearances to actually summon as a primal because by the time it gets that bad a new group has been selected. (With the Twelve possibly being the Originals created from part of Hydaelyn's power)

i would make a scary primal. people would summon me expecting an idealized hero and get...well...something that would probably go on an odin style rampage. Curious gorge has nothing on what esteem did to the knights at whitebrim.

Could imagine a Summoner as a Primal? Summoning other, probably full-sized Primals to do their bidding would be terrifying to behold.

Something I've actually been thinking about actually...the second-to-last expansion for the game, our character (story-wise atleast) has to go to a far out place and can't help Eorzea with things like Primals and the like because we are finally getting rid of the Ascian threat for good. So when we come back, what do we find? Ourselves "saving" the people of Eorzea...or rather, a Primal version of our character (Light aspected naturally), summonded by the prayer of a whole continent and lots of crystals, with his/her "saving" basically being "tempering EVERYONE TILL THEY STOP FIGHTING." Also may or may not have ended up trapping part, if not all of Hydaelyn's power in our Primal self, meaning our final task to save the Mother Crystal, continent, and world at large is to beat ourselves up.

Admitedly this probably will not happen because it would be hard as hell to make a trial for it, when I was thinking about this it was also in the way of thinking "If FFXIV was a single-player game." type of thing. I have a lot of time to think at work.

It depends on whether or not you played 1.0, and if so, how far you got in the story. The 2.0 story plays out the same regardless, but if you have a legacy character who made sufficient progress in the 1.0 story, Minfillia has additional lines when you first meet where she marks you as the same Warrior of Light from 1.0. I believe it goes on to say her possession of the Echo is the only reason she remembers you while everyone else in the world forgot, including the other Scions. That's also the only time the dialog is different so far as I'm aware.

While I'm not Legacy, I know of 2 other points where people remember you: When you restore Cid's memories, it goes as far as him even remembering you are the 1.0 Warrior of Light, and when killing Lahabrea/saving Thancred, everyone who helps you with the Sword of Light part also remembers you (complete with Raubahn noticing Cid smirking and saying "Saved the world you know. Twice." Not sure if thats during or after Lahabrea's death though, I assume after.

Note you get an added scene where Cid remembers you when he remembers everything and these is an added scene at the end of 2.0 where the gc leaders and everyone else remembers you. Also in heavensward Edmont mentions that you kill two Legatus and half a dozen primals. This is all for the 1.0 legacy player that beat united we stand...
