Best: Estinien
Worst: Estinien
I had a hate-love relationship with him. He was such a douchebag but kinda hot. Loved his voice actor too.

Recently returned player.
Well, there is a reason why he failed his coming of age test eight times. The only reason why he passed is because his brother implored us with coin and experience to help him, not for Gunu Vanu's individual 'honor' mind you, but for the honor of his family. At least he managed to steal an entire magitek claw. I would have really wanted to stab him if he only made off with a wrench.
Indeed, compared to that guy who fried and ate the baby chocobo. I hope they break his arms.
Well since we're talking only new NPCs.... Matoya, for sure. Immediately got that classic "good witch" vibe off her, 100% perfect and accurate. Also, yes, the way she mistakes Alphinaud for Alisaie and the reactions that gets from Alphi - hilarious. xD (And those brooms in her cave. Brilliant.) Honorable mention: Emmanellain, because I actually enjoyed the way he made me /facepalm with his awkward attempts at flirting.
Worst: the moogles. ALL of them. Each and every one of them. Have never been a fan, but now after HW....just kill them with fire. >.< Honorable mention: Estinien only because we didn't get to actually see his face. Again.

I thought the quest was bugged...Best: Definitely agree with Matoya, who is not only a great reference to the first Final Fantasy, but was a character that you don't even expect coming and she ends up being awesome. But I also have to give big props to Haurchefant, even though he's not a new addition. His trust and loyalty towards the Warrior of Light makes the journey to Ishgard go smoothly, and he was just about the only character from the outset that didn't seem like he was gonna stab you in the back at some point.
Worst: That one Vanu-Vanu that makes you kill Imperials three times. Seriously, to hell with that bastard.
Best: Ysayle, hands down. I thought she had a lot of depth and I really enjoyed having her along for the journey.
Her death near the end legitimately had me getting choked up.
Worst: MOOGLES, ALL OF THEM
Best: Dark Side
for being the only NPC that questions our character's blind actions for always helping people despite how most are ungreatful to us for helping them with tasks that always risk our lives.
Worst: Lahabrea
because...
SPOILERS!
he did not play much role in this storyline unlike in 2.0 and had far too little screen time in the 3.0 storyline. It felt like he was only there just so they can set the stage for him to be killed off.
Estinien saw her first. It was obvious from their bickering that they liked each other. I became a massive Icetinien shipper by the time we reached Hraesvelgr.
That ended well, didn't it? Both dead.
If I had a choice I would have presented the head of Gunu Vanu to the shaman for my own comming of age test. Seriously, The moogles were annoying, and Mogleo was triple annoying, but at least they had no intent to screw over people. Sure, there was that one time with the trials of Chieftain Moglin, but otherwise they are well meaning furrballs that are too good at hide and seek. Gunu Vanu is pure malice. He would be a villain if not for his lazyness.Well, there is a reason why he failed his coming of age test eight times.
