Anyway, all of the elitism is unwarranted. It isn't as if everyone here is PVPing to compete for openworld Raid bosses or anything like that. Heck, most of us don't even pvp.

Best: Ser Aymeric. Such a good guy, and his voice remains a silky-smooth wonder of the world. Seriously, how many angels did he have to fellate to get such a wonderful voice? (That was a joke, please don't report me :<)
Haurchefant is a very close runner-up, but he just doesn't have (had) Ser Aymeric's glorious voice. I'm sorry, dude. :'(
Worst: Both the Ascians for only showing up to harry you and then get killed off in short order. It was kind of pathetic. Yes, the WoL is a super-badass who overcame many trials to become the new Primal of Light, but seriously? Weeaaak. At least they gave Thordan an excuse to show off his awesomeness to the player (and then die a few minutes later by his or her hand, lol).
He's talking about Joye from the Machinist quest chain.
I wouldn't describe her (or any character in this game that isn't a child) as a "loli", and she only has two personalities, not one, but yeah, she's learned to trash talk from a Lominsan master of the field and is a pretty good shot to boot. Fun character, really.
matoya? yshtola's master?
hmm i dont hate her but i definitely wont call her the best. didnt seem to recall her doing anything noteworthy
best is definitely haurchefant. true bro even if i played chick character
Yeah! and you're right I suppose technically she doesn't qualify as a loli. He's talking about Joye from the Machinist quest chain.

I don't think I know how to spoiler QQ![]()

The big thing that makes a lot of players instantly love Matoya is that she's one of the very first NPCs you meet in the first Final Fantasy, and the theme song that plays in her cave is a remixed version of the one from FF1. So for a lot of us, it's nostalgia mixed with her relationship with Y'shtola, and the frogs and brooms.

Ah her....so bi-polar that one

best: Matoya, its funny because i have the memory of her being a bitch of a witch going all like "go save the world and bring me a sandwich" but then i saw this one, the song hitting all my nostalgia and the sidequest of what's dearest to her and i just cried, cried like a baby. 2nd place haurchefant for being the broest of bros.
Worst: That hunter who killed for sport and ate a baby chocobo ad the lazy vanu. Still can't decide if moogles are jerks or just completely dumb.
P.S. i totally ship iceinstein too.

Man oh man where to start.
Best: Haurchefant,Estinien,Ysayle,Alphinaud
Worst: The moogles. Dear god if SE wanted me to hate moogles they succeeded with flying colors. Oh and those two guys who were being jerks to the goblins. At least they got better.
As for the best, I I like them because they really get some development in this patch
Haurchefant was a bro, and it felt great that he was there backing you up in fights, far more than the scions ever did. I was ready to kill Thordan in a pure blood rage. It was refreshing to see his face so helpless and distraught when he died
Estinien may have some dickish moments (The way he spoke to Y'shtola made me quite angry with him). But after journeying with the guy I was legitimately sad of what happened to him. I mean, we beat the crap out of a powerful dragon together. I really do hope we get to save him as Alphinaud plans on doing
Ysayle, I knew from the start wasn't so bad, but boy...did the story writers really give her a few sucker punches. I was hoping she eventually became a scion so she could see her dreams to fruition.
And Alphinaud...well he just plainly grew a pair. He didn't sit back this time. After the screw up of the Crystal Braves he went above and beyond to get better. This guy is backing you up in fights, helping save friends. And he ALSO fought a dragon with us. Great job Alphinaud, you really did man up.

I was an Icetinien shipper as well, which is what made losing Ysayle such a blow. (Estinien I kind of saw coming.) If it wasn't for the Imperials, I think she might have been able to snap him free of Nidhogg. I wonder - if Shiva is summoned again, will that bring her back, even temporarily?
Ah well, at least the shippers have some darn close to canon Aymeric / Lucia to play with.
Out of the new characters, I really liked Count Edmont de Fortemps the best. It was clear that his eldest bastard son was his favorite, and unlike the Archbishop and Hilda's unnamed dad, he didn't care if everyone knew (including his later on wife and his legit kids.) I cried too when he broke down and wept over losing Haurchefant.
