Parsers are against ToS on FFXIV because they don't want people judging others over doing 10-30 DPS lower against someone doing 100 DPS lower. This does not mean a carry if they are attempting THEIR BEST.

If they're trying their best, and the party wipes due to not meeting a DPS Check(i.e. Titan EX, Bismarck EX), then the best someone can do is give them tips, or if possible at the very least ask if they're on the same server so they can help them improve.

What if your 6 wipes deep, that 1 DPS isn't hitting good numbers and is the weakest link?

Where do you draw the line with complacency?

I'm all for helping others, but if your stuck with people who aren't improving, you only have 1 choice.

Let me start off by saying, I would like an official in game parser, mostly so I can improve my own game play. As console player, I am generally in dark about my exact numbers.
The aggro meter is decent gage of my relative DPS performance. I tend to be a little lower on that gauge than some others I regularly play with simply because I make it a point to use aggro reducers more often than they do. As DPS, I do not want to be the tank. IMO, DPS that rip aggro simply because they do not bother to use these reducers are careless DPS.

What if they don't improve? ... I'm all for helping others, but if your stuck with people who aren't improving, you only have 1 choice.

You have 3 choices actually.
1. Vote Abandon - if the run is going that badly it will likely pass.
2. Leave and take your time penalty - I never worry about the time penalty, as there are many other things to do in this game to pass the time.
3. Vote to Kick

Your point of view is typically revolving around PUGs. Which where the most where abuse is going to happen.
I am not attempting to take high and mighty stance here. I have kicked players for grossly under performing in the past and will do so again in the future. How long you live with that players under performance will determine how whether you are being abusive or not. Give a fair chance, your 6 wipes, and you fully justified. Give them, 0 to 1 wipe and you are being abusive. Numbers in between are very subjective.
I do not need a DPS meter to tell me when some one is botching the mechanics and not improving.

I have been lucky. So far I have yet to be kicked from a group. So far I have received commendations in all but one dungeon that I have run. (And I admit I really blew that one big time. I have the flu and had a coughing fit that caused me--a DPS--to accidentally over pull trash mobs and die when my mouse jerked). But I was also in a group that dropped Titan in under 3 minutes so I must not be THAT horrible--even though I prefer to play Archer rather than Bard like everyone else would prefer. (When everyone else pays my monthly subscription...then they can dictate what / how I play.)

That said, I and many others like me, are handicapped. My vision is poor and I have arthritis. My health is chronically poor so I am a freaking shut in and games are an escape from my prison. I know a blind guy who is a gamer too.

Go the way of WoW with meters, and you slam the door in the face of an entire segment of the population. This is a game. Disabled people are already shut out of segments of society. Why can't you at least let us play games?

If you want professional groups to run dungeons with, set up a message board to sign up to run with groups who meet specific criteria. But if you are running pug, just play and have FUN with whatever group you get--no matter how lame--just laugh. So you wiped. So what? You won't die in the real world and people who are not UBER GAMERS will love you for having a great sense of humor and allowing them to have a little fun in their lives too.

Besides if YOU really are so awesome, you wouldn't do pugs anyway. You'd have a set group of fellow pro-gamers to run with and not rely on the dungeon finder.
