Honestly, I don't think they'll extend it; they just sent out a notice reminding people of the deadline, and that deadline has already passed in Japan. It's probably too late to change the programming now. From their point of view, we're the exception cases rather than the rule, so it'd probably be better to come up with something for the exception cases, but it's really up to the Square-Enix Online Store folks to petition for us.

This is pretty bad. Had it not been for the virtue of all other shipping options not working for us, my friend and I would have gone with this shipping route (we ended up paying 1-2 day shipping since day 1 preorder process posed many a problem for us). This pretty much tells me I'll be sticking with the most costly shipping option or find another source to buy from. This is highly unfortunate as it should have been sent during the window. I know shit happens, but damn here we are with a number of customers in the same situation, still waiting for their product.
