My guess is that the warrior of darkness is just going to be our analogue created by Zodiark. I don't think our warriors of light are actual people blessed by hydaelyn, but is more a living construct created by her to enact her will. In the 2.0 intro "hear, feel, think" she was in the process of creating us at that point. If zodiark is the dark version of hydaelyn it wouldn't be a stretch for him to create a warrior in the same way.

Well Zodiark has yet to awaken from what the Ascians have said so I question how can Zodiark make the WoD when he has yet to awaken.

Though that does begs the question about what is the WoL since the game push the idea that the WoL is from a distant land and he or she remains unaware of their powers as WoL and identity as the WoL until Hydaelyn calls to the WoL.

The "hear, feel, think" may just be her calling to the WoL which awakens his or her abilities like some kind of code to activate something.

I can see them making their own champion in a manner similar to how Thancred was possessed. For a twin wouldn't it in part, be a shadow or reflection brought to life as a negative version of the original?

Aside from that if we go to the moon. Will there be Viera living there? (Asian folklore, all things considered it'd make sense.)

It'll be awesome if the WoD is the actual Derplander from all the trailers.
All this while we're assuming that Derplander is just a representation of our characters in the trailers, but imagine the plot twist possibilities if Derplander is an actual character in this game and has somehow converted to the dark side .

I always did wonder why the Midlander has a slightly different event from our character in FF14H.

After all he was attacked by a dragon in FF14H trailer while our character just crossed the bridge with Alphinaud and Tataru safely.

Jokes aside:

It would be interesting if the WoD has been the Midlander from the trailer. Though I wonder how they will explain this part if it did happen.
