I don't think that is Elidibus due to how the cutscnene does not name this White Robe Ascian as Elidibus. It is possible this is another Ascian since there are other White Robe Ascians but they have yet to appear just like how there are multiple Black Robe Ascians.

Nope, it is him. A dev confirmed it and said the name in the text box was a goof.

A dev said that was a mistake and that it was actually Eldibus--the text was a glitch. Eldibus is voiced by Ishida Akira in Japanese and there was no mistaking that the voice coming from the "white robe ascian" was Ishida Akira's. ....so with the devs saying it was a glitch and the seiyuu being the seiyuu in the credits....it's Eldibus.

As someone said previously, our character could be a construct of Hydalen OR Hydalen herself, or our character could be a Primal (most likely hope given form).
