The Warrior of Darkness [SPOILER]

Now then...

So the Warrior of Darkness is introduced in 3.0 as the Trailer mentioned but....

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we do not actually get to see his face. However, the WoD appears to resemble the Midlander from the FF14 Trailers. I can only guess he and his fellow Warriors of Darkness may take on the appearance of the Warriors of Lights from the Trailers or the WoD our character face may look like our character.

Well sadly only time will tell how they will handle the WoD's appearance but I'm only guessing the WoD will....

look like the FF14 Trailer characters for easier incorporation into the storyline and possible future dungeon and/or trial fights

or

be designed to look like our characters for that Dark Counter part reflection theme they may want the WoD to have.

Hopefully we may meet these Warriors of Darkness in 3.1 Main Scenario.

From the trailer, it made it seem to me that the warriors of darkness were basically going to be the missing Scions. Just a theory, but it sounded like Minfillia was involved as a WoD somehow.

Watch it the "Derplander" may be kicking our buts for a good amount of 3.X storyline to take us down a few steps or two before we can beat him.

Though I wonder if they will explain why the WoD looks like the Midlander from the trailer.

Kill the King Thordan and he becomes the Archbishop again, he looks at you scared and your face is covered by shadows, asking what or you are you. I was wondering what's deal with him...

I was honestly expecting a more "unique" take on the Warrior of Darkness... but now that I think about it I imagine the "heroes" from the end of 1.0 of the ARR video showing Bahamut laying waste to Eorzea who are regarded as the "Warriors of Light" and somehow ended up becoming the "Warriors of Darkness".

Honestly interesting, but it would've been interesting to see a doppelganger of our character at least or with their own unique outfit.

However, that would cause a conflict of plot for Legacy players since the Legacy WoL is the WoL from 1.0 who has returned after going missing for 5 years.

If they do make the WoD the WoL of 1.0, SE will need to work around the plot for Legacy players and explain how the WoD can be the 1.0 WoL when the Legacy Player is the 1.0 WoL.
