Formal Letter to SE about RMT situation.

I wonder then what is done differently on Balmung? I have like 3 people in my Blacklist and that was in the last two months. I get maybe one tell a month, no invites, cant remember the last time I saw spam in chat. I know other servers are awful but Balmung is fine. Could they be testing methods on some servers, seeing how it works on RMT and how the players are effected before mass implementation? Is it the sole result of restricted character creation? If its just the restriction that is limiting the RMT on Balmung, then maybe they should restrict all servers to be random times it is unlocked. Makes for quite the pain in the butt (I remember threads complaining about the restrictions.)

Would people here be willing to endure character restrictions if it was what helped Balmung?

Limiting character creation is not a reasonable response in my book.

I was getting one, but its also probably due to servers being full and them not being able to get in, once the congestion dies down you may welcome em back.

Ban the computer itself, not an IP.

Have a no-tolerance policy on it.

Ban the actual numbers on the computer, make it worthless as a whole.

They've taken to just /say spamming

I haven't seen any msg/friend spam... but then again I moved shout and tell to a (spam) tab, removed the sounds attached to them and never checked it.

Same with Couerl - got maybe one or two all day........ which is -super- nice! however, only when things die down can I really form an opinion, yet.... for all we know they just can't get in at the moment.

There is no "number" on the computer itself, it's on the network card. And theres a finite number of MAC addresses.

And it's changeable by putting a new network adapter in. They cost like 5 bucks.

Ban the RMT culprit's using all the following methods:

Ban Service Account
Ban email address
Ban MAC and IP
Ban Home Address
Ban Real Life Name/ Usernames
Ban registered Bank details/ Credit Card details

make it as difficult as possible to get back into game
