AST excite

OK I'm a lot more bored than I thought I'd be during this downtime. Which is odd cause I have all sorts of house repairs I should be working on. However, did the gamplay footage of AST excite anyone else? I am a tank/healer. That's what I do. Sure DPS is fun but when I head out to do things with people I am either a tank or a healer for it. Originally when the hype started while AST sounded interesting I was really more excited about DRK. After seeing more info leading up to today AST took over as the one I am most excited about. The point, what theory-crafting have you been doing? For instance, for me I'm wondering if Collective Unconscious works for all buffs or just AST buffs.. and if that applies to card buffs. Can you spread Synastry? If so you could heal a group by healing the MT. When do you think you'll use Time Dilation? Just for scripted damage like in primals where everyone groups or how about in tandem with a sch where sacred soil is up for tank and melee while you TD healers/casters/range dps for large aoe moment?

Collective Unconcious isn't the buff-spread ability (IIRC); it's the Asylum/Sacred Soil skill. I'm also very certain that the ability to spread buffs is only going to apply to card buffs; too OP otherwise.

was going off the info found here. But in the gameplay the tooltip for it was Collective for the bubble so who knows.

That video shows Collective Unconscious being the Sacred Soil/Asylum buff, not the buff spread ability. As far as I can tell, at least. Somewhere around the 5 minute mark.

Yeah was watching for that a min ago. Still.. names are not the important part of this. It could be called AST bubble of gtfo for all I care its the abilities and the combos of those.

As I first stated, it will likely only apply to card buffs. It would be way too OP if it applied to all buffs or to Synastry. SE is a little smarter than that, I'd like to think.

It most likely only spreads the buff of the card. It has already been said it will not spread other buffs that are not astrologian only.

According to what I've seen, the effects Time Dilation and Collective Unconsciousness are actually mixed up on that image.

Also, Time Dilation is reported to actually extend the buffs on a party member by 15 seconds - not share the buffs. That makes more sense to me in the context of what's going on.

There doesn't appear to be an ability that spreads buffs from player to player at all. Time Dilation and Celestial Opposition both extend buffs on a target or on party members in an area, respectively.

I'm busy memorizing the card elements/effects/royal roads so that I don't take long. Yellow > Lightning > Spire > Tp down (extended duration) put it on the PLD!
