I am estatic about machinist taking the load off the job I am going to main in 3.0 so not really ;p. I play a bard for mainly style and the feel of being an archer off fire emblem. In all honesty though Astrologian has the ultimate caster cool factor out of all the jobs. Summoners getting to channel Bahamut is up there but there will be no healing shortage any time soon and if there is a smaller dps queue then healer queue who am I to argue.

AST will be flavour of the month but I doubt it'll be the most played job overall. Firstly most non-healers will probably eventually go back to their original roles, and then we have to take into account that there will always be more DPS players than healers anyway.

Though for the first month it will be quite terrifying the amount of Dark Knights and Astrologians out there who have no clue about tanking or healing. xD
