    Only time they'd compensate, and if memory serves they did, is if a maint is insanely beyond the projected time, or due to massive server instability. A planned 24 hour downtime to implement an entire expansion pack that was announced well ahead of time, and that anyone would know about if they have just a single working eye, isn't going to get you any compensation.

    11 pages on a thread in which the OP has created 3 posts for. 90% of you are in agreement, but you keep posting. This, my friends, is the very definition of a troll thread, and you all fell for it. By replying, I've also fallen for it. OP, I hope, that not only were you joking, but you are now bathing in exotic oils while eating grapes hand-fed to you with at least 37 monitors around the tub with this thread being automatically refreshed every 20 minutes flashing in your face while you are left with naught but a coy smile and your luxuries.

    Oh and if, OP, you happen to be 100% serious, I am well and truly embarrassed for you.

    I couldn't even begin to count the number of free days (and they do add up) Blizzard has handed out for downtime compensation. I'm not sure why people think the inquiry is so odd. Regardless of what's written in the terms of service there are obviously companies willing to throw their customer's a bone in this area, and there are obviously those that aren't.

    Most of these responses are pretending like downtime compensation never happens, and that's just ridiculous. Feel free to argue whether or not developers should do this sort of thing, but picking at someone for raising the question is just dumb.

    You all are the ones making a mountain out of a molehill, not the original poster. Your responses should have been something along the lines of "Haven't heard anything about any planned compensation. People would probably have to contact them individually and put in the request. I'd be surprised if they give you what you're asking for, though". (and that last sentence is optional)

    This thread should have been one page, not 11 pages of trolling.

    So if the OP is serious (and I really hope they aren't): yes, compensation is absolutely deserved. The opportunity to lose 28 mgp on a daily cactpot ticket and get less than 100 poetics on a roulette is so dramatically heart-rending that I require recompense.

    To be fair, Blizzard doesn't give compensation for scheduled maintenance, which this is. I do agree that people are taking a bit far at this point, though. No need for this thread to have 11 pages. *shrug*
