We have 10 levels as opposed to the previous 50. It's -impossible- for them to double the number of gear sets within those ten levels unless they have two alternative gear sets per single level. This is assuming that not all 51-60 gear will be class-specific, which would just be outrageous. Similarly, it wouldn't make sense to have a new potion and food tier for every 2 levels, would it?

Considering that, I very highly doubt that crafting materials will be doubling in count. No, I'd say when Yoshi P was talking content, he was talking content. Content as in "things to do", not "thinks to have".

I'd say it's a safe estimate that we'll have 2 (maybe 3 if they really push it) new tiers of crafting materials for 51-60 crafting, then 1 material tier beyond that for 60 star crafting. At the same time, demand for the highest no-star level 50-ish materials and materials for 50 1, 2, and 3-star crafts will all drop, with 1, 2, and 3-star craft materials dropping to the point where you likely won't even want to stock them at all.

All in all, I don't think the inventory problem will be anywhere near as severe in HW as people seem to believe. Unless you're one of those people who has to collect every cool glamour item in existence, that is, but at that point you're just asking for inventory problems.

    Lodestone:
[2.0][3.0] New items have been added.
    * Due to the volume of items added with the release of patch 3.0, they will not be listed in the patch notes.

[2.0][3.0] New recipes have been added.

...so, maybe not doubled exactly, we don't know; but this is still definitely alarming.

Also, from that very same post still:
[3.0] New master recipe books have been added.
[2.0] New recipes have been added to the previously existing master recipe books.

Well, I guess it's time people start cleaning out their inventories then. Out with the old and in with the new.

Pretty much. If I pick up a dungeon piece for glamour and don't use it within a couple of weeks, I just desynth, spiritbond, or turn it in for seals. If I decide that I really want it again later, I'll go farm it. Of course things that aren't easily replaceable are a completely different story. I could still kick myself for getting rid of my Imperial robe and helm from the MSQ. :c

Honestly, while having to add to your sub fee for more retainers is a pretty dick thing to do.

Based off a link I found on reddit, we have at least 725 inventory slots, not counting armory because I have no bloody clue how that one works. I get that there is a lot of stuff to collect and what not, but at the same time, one does not really need to hold on to every little thing.

Hell I'm guilty of this, I have an entire retainer full of glamour items that I know I have no intention of ever actually using but I can't be arsed enough to get rid of, and the other has an entire bag full of Materia which I'm also never going to use. But despite this, I cannot simply sit here and say Square should fix my mistake of being a pack rat when I could just look and actually think about what do I actually need/plan to use and which I'm just holding on to and maybe use.
