I disagree with this statement, if you really paid attention to what he wrote the person came in when the boss was at 10% so therefore they did not contribute at all. I for one NEVER roll if I enter in a situation like this as I have done nothing to earn that loot drop.

While I share your pain (Drops from Odin Trial and farming Nightmare from Ex Primals), in WoD if you aren't playing as the class that can NEED on the drop you're after, you bring this pain on yourself. I've lost out on both Need and Greed drops there and yes it's frustrating... but you get back in Duty Finder after run and do it again. Look at it this way, yes you're after a piece of gear but you're also farming tomes as well to get other gear or for a quest etc.

Also... like others have said, the coming weekend with Heavensward, people will be rushing to get to 60 and the new weapons/armor/accessories... all the gear currently ingame will serve only as glamor, that's all. If the game is getting you so 'infuriated and in tears', take a break and work on another class or play another game. Then try again.

i did, and guess what the loot system has nothing in place saying hey you didn't participate so you can't roll.

opinions have 0 matter how who and who cannot roll except for when a premade is made and a loot rule is agreed upon.

it's also common courtesy to wait for a replacement. people should not be dropped out of loot roll just because they got unlucky when they joined.

It has been confirmed that Bard and Machinist will share gear already. Also, it's rough that you didn't the gear piece you wanted, but RNG is RNG and what the other player did isn't an offence, it's just in poor taste. Sorry it happened, but it won't be the last time and isn't something to quit over given that the devs said you can get by in the earliest new zones with i110 gear.

Why were you greed rolling on something you desperately want anyway? If you ran as a class that could have needed on that gear, you wouldn't have had any problem. WoD DPS queue is really not bad enough to refuse to DPS it when you want DPS gear.

It is lame when people roll on stuff after fights they did not contribute to, but you had to be aware of the possibly that anyone in the party could have out greeded you at any time...

Yeap I've seen this happen..its all about memememe...

If I ever come in on the last boss I don't lot. I just can't do it. If others can and don't care well then that's their business and problem lol. Anyway..the best way to deal with it is just come on the proper job that lets you need it. If not sadly then nothing can be done.

I wouldn't really let that bring tears, expansion is gonna have crafted gears and 170 gears as starter 50 stuff... I'd just get what can be gotten to get by then insta replace with dgn or crafted stuff. I know it's frustrating when you put a ton of effort vs someone who refused to do a thing but try to keep your head up and just gear with what you can at this point. :/

Despite what others have said, you did deserve the gear more than that person. The apathy on this thread is evidence of the same affliction that is affecting FFXIV's community.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do obviously. Bad game design. People who do nothing in a boss fight or aren't in the fight area when it starts should not be allowed to roll on something if others roll on it.

At least you've seen the thing drop. I've done WoD multiple times since launch and (because I want it) I've still never seen the brd body drop.

Did you call him out on his lack of healing? Did you try to kick him? If you didn't take any preventive measures, then you only have yourself to blame in this case.

Either way, just use tomestones to gear up. The beggining on 3.0 will probably be tailored toward i90 or i100 since the minimum needed to beat 2.55 is i90. Once you get into HW, you can just gear up during that.
