I agree that having macros attached to useless skills annoying. I have one for raising which honestly I shouldn't have to use but it's designed for alerting other healers to my actions so we don't waste swiftcast and raise on the same person. I DO have a benediction one that was a raid joke I've just never removed however I would stop having bringing asked to do so, I suppose with having a macro on that skill it stops healers wasting expensive skills on soon to be dead players. Apart from that a berserk macro to help healers heal pacify which is always useful from both points of view plus the occasional (alert to boss mechanic) macro.

When it comes down to macros you have have joke/rp ones but if people ask for you to stop you should, just stops drama from happening... I remember one RP tank I had who macrod shield lob, I had to mute my to because he didn't stop and he had noise alerts on it, not happy.

Those macros are fine with friends who don't mind or whatever, but in a group full of strangers, they're bound to be annoyed by it.

My FC mate does the same thing, and i find it bothersome. (He uses a quote from He-Man with his execute, and he tends to get spammy with the button when he presses it)

When i look at the chat log during a fight i'm looking to see if anyone has said anything of importance, not

I'd never vote kick someone for annoying macros, but I have definitely been known to blacklist over it.

Content too hard? Too much rng? Too much effort for the item you want?

When I used to grind hunts, there was one summoner who would alway show up. He had a rediculously long macro for his summons and liked to run around without them summoned, so that right before each pull, he could summon them and spam the macro. The first time was lol k, after that, not so much, and that he had it in shout as well..
Speaking of hunts and macros, those people who are in 5 ls with you and have an obnoxiously long macro thats goes in all of them, plus /say /shout and /party, when you are trying to invite people....

I have one thats just <t><pos> and another that is <t> pulled. The last one only gets used on S ranks.

In FFXI I had marcos which saying things on everything. And I found it pissed off a lot of people, including my wife. So I had 2 marco sets, one for me and one for everyone else.

    In FFXIV I haven't.

It's all good to RP and play the way you want. But you can't piss off other people in doing so or bad things can happen.

And yeah macros on attacks when it's not needed is annoying to me.
Is that, right? I wasn't sure what class he was but I assumed he was a Summoner as someone quoted that "as a SMN he should focus on DPS more".

I'll agree that as a DPS you should really bring out your output as much as possible, but I rather play it safe at times when pressing too hard and neglecting the team that will result in a wipe despite how much DPSing. Well different strokes for different people.

He's going in as an arcanist and using a topaz carbuncle (the tanking one). By default he's already doing significantly less than an average player. To not expect some form of hostility when you're doing this (and he has acknowledged that this would be the case as well in another topic) is outrageous, let alone making a vent topic/post about it to victimize yourself after getting kicked for such.

Unless you are on an official RP server.
