There's no problem to protesting change, if we didn't protest to some extent then SE wouldn't be getting some valid critique.

Not all changes are good, and your opinion is not the only one who wants to be heard.

Blindly +1 every change that comes about until they happen to change one thing you never thought would be.
SE's dev team should be challenged. If you read some of the propositions other threads have made, you'd realize that there's more to this than you've wrapped your head around yet.

The changes made in this new patch are lazy, not thought through enough, and were posted days before the patch would come. It was merely teased in past threads, which made us think it wasn't such a BOLD move.

Here's what I thought when I heard recipe changes were being made:

Culinarians would rejoice! Less complicated recipes for food, and perhaps a new dye system!

Here's what we got:

No parts, easily crafted gear not just for lower ranked items, but for all finished items entirely.
It's nice for you that you've gotten that Buffalo Horn'd item in the past when it meant something right?
Since certain items are being done away with like grips, and parts, where does that leave your horn?

When crafting meant something, like patience, and wasn't revolved around the "NOW" mentality, crafters could feel a sense of accomplishment. By removing parts without looking at alternative options it feels like, to me this is an incredibly lazy move that mirrors the half assed job they did with the battle system.

Nothing against the battle system itself, but the patch was shoddy, I've seen glitches in it I wasn't even aware were POSSIBLE (For some reason, I've seen shields do back flips during casting, wtf is up with that?) and all together, it looks like it was barely given a second thought.
There happens to be a population that enjoys crafting, would like to see it adjusted, not just flat out gutted like the patch notes would like us to believe. On top of a quote from some letter, or dev translation, we're aware that crafting is getting a semi-back seat for the moment, but this is almost cruel.

At least we could rank up off of parts, which were easily made and NPC'd or stored for later. :/ The recipes did need a little pruning, ranks for certain items needed to be swapped (ie rank to create velveteen cloth should be lower than making velveteen sleeves, for the sake of having no parts higher to create, than the part you're making) and if they wanted to make an even better option instead: Give us a separate inventory to store up to 20~ ingredients.

Honestly, a little critique is good. Not everyone is a raving lunatic. To every complaint thread I see, I feel like the "I +1 this, you QQing twats!" are far more rude. :/ Please explain to us, in detail, why this is good in more words than "it's easier."
