ohh i have mossed the story, my bad. can you give your insights on my other ideas please
Enmity too reliant on weapon and ilevel and not proper skill use.
sorry if i keep posting in this thread but I cant help but share a new idea i have come up with. what wluld be your stand if ff14 implement a pvp one verusus one in a zone that is optional. just a friendly duel with a request and confirmation. if players dont want duel they can simply avoid such optional zone. one thing that is missing in the current pvp is actually the competitiveness because you simply get to fight random players. please game developers, consider a one on one battle. please ga,e director please. thank you.
I support THIS, especially since the zone technically already exists (Wolves Den and the colisseum in Ul'Dah)pvp one verusus one in a zone that is optional. just a friendly duel with a request and confirmation. if players dont want duel they can simply avoid such optional zone. one thing that is missing in the current pvp is actually the competitiveness because you simply get to fight random players. please game developers, consider a one on one battle.
Unfortunately due to story events I don't think the latter of the two is going to be viable until we get back and deal with a certain issue. Gold Saucer may be possible as well, but if they did THAT they'd add a gimmick to it since gimmicks are Gold Saucer's...gimmick.
NEVER going to happen. Even FFXI wasn't this sadistic and they had weather, day of the (in-game) week, and even SEASONS affect things in game.
So far the only reason for weather is fishing, aesthetics, and Odin. Having it affect player survivability is just a bad idea all around.

please consider a vsior of goggles or glasses similar to cid
Duels, face sliders, QoL improvements (such as a tooltip letting you know recent history or current marketboard price of an item without needing that extra click or maybe just defaulting your listing to the current lowest market price or some like an shift + click for vendoring trash without having to confirm the vendor) a huge one for me, to be able to interact with 2 UI elements at once such as joining a duty while you have your retainer menu open and such, lastly the ability to send tells in duties
Firstly, I've not read the whole thread yet. Only got up to the below quote when I wanted to pipe up about this:
I know it's a very minor point and slightly off topic but I just wanted to clarify that we have more than 3 sitting poses. We have 3 poses when sitting on an edged surface (such as a chair or bed where the character puts his/her legs down the side of it) but we also have 2 general sitting poses (for the ground and other non edged surfaces) for a total of 5 unique sitting poses for each character, that also vary depending on race (and possibly gender? Not sure about that).[Snip]
I'm not sure about walking and running, but you can already change your character's pose when standing or sitting by simply using the '/changepose' command - each character has three standing and sitting poses. Additionally your character has an idle weapon drawn pose as well.
For example, Crystal here when sitting on a chair can:
- tensely put her hands on her knees, holding her knees together and her arms straight,
- casually fold her arms and cross one leg over the other, or
- very casually cross one leg over the other and rest her chin on her hand with the elbow of that same arm supported by her top knee
When sitting on the ground, she can:
- sit with one leg stretched out flat, the knee of the other leg raised up and wrest he elbow on that raised knee while sitting back and leaning on her other hand, or
- take a very polite Japanese sitting position on her knees
When sitting in general, you can give your character a lot of personality depending on when and how (/cpose) you choose to sit them down.

Cid's goggles are actually already in the game, however, they are old version 1.0 gear that was only available if you bought the standard version of FFXIV 1.0 (not the Collector's Edition, which had FFIII's Onion Helm instead). This item was gained via a voucher code included with the game, and as far as I was aware, the codes are still valid, hence why unopened copies of the first run of standard editions of FFXIV 1.0 now sell for ridiculous amounts on sites like eBay, simply for the item code. So unless you can track down this code, it's now unattainable I'm afraid.
