suggestions to improve the gameplay of FF14

I don't think dueling is gonna be a thing with GCD system and healer's lame combat abilities.

Here are my suggestions to improve the gameplay of FF14

1.I am a former player of aion, and one of the most exciting part of their pvp system is the challenge a player system where you get to invite a player in the exact place where you have seen them and have a mini one on one battle until one player gets an hp of 1.

2. I am hoping to see an environment that explores the sea. Swimming is a must for this game

3. more hairstyleand more faces please.

4. an ultimate attack for each job. like a limit break where you fill the gauge but this time even not in party.
5. and please dont include wings as a part of character customization. it will destroy final fantasy haha.
6. its nice if we can change the way we walk, run, stand. (again like aion)

i apologize if i am comparing this game to aion. i love final fantasy and i can see the highest potential of the game developers to surpass a free to play game like aion in terms of quality. please consider this post to future updates

Umm, this is all here or coming in one form or another.

1. New PvP maps and goals are coming and they talked about a Colosseum in the Golden Saucer where people can challange one another (i just hope you can have spectators that can bet on the outcomes)

2. When doing the first major expansion, they had a choice of doing either air or sea. They chose flying. 4.0 will more than likely be underwater kingdoms and such, Ala FF1 and the Kracken.

3. Always being added to, with every patch and expansion.

4. There is a personal "Adrenaline" gauge in Slaughter PvP. For now its only in PvP, but I would like to see this eventually carry over to solo, but only in solo, getting replaced by the current limitbreak system when in a party. Current limit breaks are finally getting Job Specific limit breaks with 3.0.

5. I agree with you here on wings. Nothing mentioned yet but it wouldnt make sense if the race isnt born with wings. I hope they stick with airships and other flying mounts.

6. /cpose is a recent addition. Maybe when they have spare time they can work on other poses this will change.

Nice suggestions but all either in the works or very low priority.

I think that alot of these ideas your coming up with is nice Jinda but i think alot people like it how it is. Some of what your already saying is either in the works or put into a "side project" that they work on over time.

I see you come from a variety of mmo's and my thing about that is that every MMO is unique (at least in my case) which is why i made FF14 my only P2P game because of A) A unique MMO B.) it seems like final fantasy me without them changing a whole lot.

acehunterice, yes i have played a variety of mmo. and i love the way ff14 the way it is. im not bringing changes to the game but rather additional features. when you have attained the level cap, the little things matter to the players, they find something to cling on just to stay in the game. i love final fantasy since ff1. i want to grow old with this game. this is the first time i am posting in a forum because of my love for the franchise. i hope the game developers can read this message. i am so much happy to share more of my ideas and will open heartedly accept criticism.

Not really possible, especially given the lore of the game - none of the Eorzean citystates are actually democracies at all (Gridania is a magocracy who intermediate with the elementals of the Black Shroud, Limsa Lomonisa is a thalassocracy, Ul'dah officially is,

or rather was

a sultanate, but is especially now more of a corrupt plutocracy, and Ishgard is a theocracy under the direct control of the church of Halone. And Ala Mhigo was originally an autocratic kingdom that is now nothing but a puppet state of the Garlean Empire).

So basically democracy does not exist in Eorzea, or at least modern democracy as we know of it, as each city state power in government is entirely vested in only a few privileged individuals for whatever reason (although I suppose Limsa could considered the closest to one, given that the various privateer groups that make up Limsa's government decide on their leader who governs by consensus.). Hence your idea, while very interesting (I'm very interested in politics and political science ), it just wouldn't fit into the story of the game I'm afraid.

FFXIV actually has regular seasonal events - the most recent was the Easter event Hatchingtide in April, and the next one will probably be the summer event Moonfire Faire, although I think Moonfire Faire will be delayed this year on account of the launch of Heavensward taking priority. But we'll find out soon enough. Needless to say, SE runs special events all through the year so this is already done.
