Yeah I understand, but, doing a DPS class you have to wait sometimes 45 mins + to get a dungeon pop. Leveling shouldn't be reliant on something like that for the bulk of EXP. If you only have a few hours to play a day it just isn't viable.
And during those 45+ minutes, you can do Fates, any side quests you might have left over from previous classes, class/job quests, hunt log, daily hunts (provided you have a level 50 already)... Or you can just ask friends or FC mates if they'd like to go on a dungeon run or two and tank or heal for you. =) Nothing that says you have to sit idly and just wait.
Not sure how leves work with dungeon queues, though. Never tried it.
The only thing you can't do is bring out your chocobo =/ so no assistance from or exp for your fine-feathered friend.
