...really? Limbal ring is like a tattoo that can be applied/removed, or any other accessory that can be taken off and put on at will? Good to know. Any more special treatment for the new race?

Yeah that's a bit silly. If Au Ra can have the Aesthetician mess with their eyes, why not the other races as well? Especially considering that it was said at some point that Eye color would be an option in the Aesthetician, before he was even implemented.
The jealousy in this thread is high.
ikr? This is why we can't have nice things...
Same with scars for my Miqo'te, but I don't see anyone up in arms about that...

It is kind of odd that Au Ra can adjust their scales and the light of their eyes with an aesthetician... For Scales, I can imagine it something like nails or facial hair, something you can cut or shed but will also grow back.
The Eye rings though... What is it, a Spiritual thing and it reflects the color of your soul? Meditate and you can change it? Because that's the only possible lore explanation... that it's like a resonance of aether maybe and you can attune it to different kinds? I don't know... I understand it's equivalent customization, and I believe that is fair, but lore reasons make it more fun... so I think I'm gonna stick to the aether resonance idea - and I think that contacts should become a thing...

*Large scar across the face*
"Don't worry, it'll heal. You'll hardly notice it's there..." >.>
Scars fade and become less visible, but don't dissapear completely.
I have some scars from about 15 years ago. They're hardly noticable, but they are there.
"But we live in Eorzea, where all wounds can be completely healed, leaving no trace what so ever." I hear you cry. Well, in this magical world, Au Ra can change their Limbals too. Oh, and there's a potion that can change everything about you, even your race and gender.
So... we're trying to ruin another race by making them have less options than the existing races, by using any argument necessary. Nice. I'm out.
One last thought: The scar across the nose. I think it should look a bit more... realistic than what it does (Tyrion Lannister comes to mind). It's not gonna be a pretty sight. Good luck trying to use make up on that mess. But luckily, character creation/model restrictions and all that, it just looks like a line. I mean we are going with realism and all, seeing as you're questioning the aestheticians ability to change limbals/scales.
Have fun trying to ruin the Au Ra.
Uh-huh. Because me saying that every race should be able to change their eyes at the Aesthetician totally ruins Au Ra. Dramatize much?
The Aesthetician should either deal with eye changes or he shouldn't. If he can fix limbal rings, there's no reason why he shouldn't also be able to fix eye colors across the board. If that would "ruin the Au Ra", then I'll gladly see them ruined.
