The bitterness in this thread is unimaginable. Go outside ever.
Reminds me of what happens in a lot of games when new classes/jobs/characters/rigs are introduced.
The new guys get everything fancy, even new things that where not technically possible before. Perhaps the designers are now more experienced and want to avoid mistakes of the past. And this is all good and dandy, except it only works forward. As in, typically speaking, the old never gets updated to the new.
Rare are the companies that will update something that "Doesn't sell anymore". Basically, Au'ra will be their Cash cow for quite some time, and all the other races will continue falling behind. And then it'll happen to the Au'Ra too, once the next race is designed with even better features that not even the Aura will have.
But there is an ever more bitter side of this, and it's when the older models can actually use the new assets, but are "Held back" to further milk the new cash cow, and only released later as a "Magical upgrade we worked hard for" to bring everyone in line. And this, is what annoys me of the current issue at hand. I am 100% positive the assets to make this change is there, but will be held back until they've milked their new child for a while.
Can we be allowed to change eye color for other races too? Limbal rings and being able to change scales is some pretty major character features to be able to change at the Aesthetician.
Can I have different facial stripes/markings to choose from on my Miqote? To me, Scales is just as defining as stripes. I would like more Facial Markings please for Miqote
allow us to match markings with the color of our hair maybe
and just add more ferral looking markings, Miqote look too human

..or an extra item/NPC that let us change skin or eye colours. <.<

It has to do with what "slot" it's in in the character data for the aesthetician, I imagine.
It fills the same slot as tattoos and whatnot, so it can be changed.

This right here. Its not a matter of should or shouldn't its a matter of how it fits in the customization sections of the current system.
I agree. But i tested out the Au Ra in the Benchmark and for me personally they're butt ugly o,o° We all have different tastes. The ones who want to play that reptil like dudes and girls...fine. I for myself will stick to the Miqo'te. And the limbal thing is just plain creepy....Reminds me of what happens in a lot of games when new classes/jobs/characters/rigs are introduced.
