    Favoritism is however a major reason why S-E can't be arsed to give a rat's ass, whether you want to face it or not. Your "proof" is to merely take a look at which forum is regularly filled with responses from S-E and which forum gets a few responses here and there regardless of topic. The fact remains if the Jap servers were inundated with the gil spammers/sellers as our servers are, S-E would be bending over backwards to placate those players asap.

    Want even better proof? This thread is all you need. If S-E gave two shits about A REAL DAMN PROBLEM, there'd be at least ONE S-E response among the now 900+ replies in ths thread. And there wouldn't be gil seller spammers standing around with impunity 24 hours a day spamming their wares. But hey, if S-E is fine with gil spammers laughing in their faces and driving off players, more power to S-E.

    It really doesn't matter to me at this point. Right now, I'm canceling my Heavensward pre-order. Let the gil spammers pay for S-E's servers, I no longer will.

    It's not about whether they're easy to implement or not (though in fact quite a few of the things I've seen suggested, though not all of them, would be pretty easy). The point is that they're necessary to implement, at least some of them. And easy or hard, they're all still well within SE's capabilities. And so far we've gotten none. Nor have we even gotten any comments from SE regarding which out of all those suggestions they may be implementing soon, or even acknowledging that there's any reason to do anything at all.

    All SE has said on the topic is that their current pattern of banning an occasional RMT account here and there (generally weeks or months after the problems start with it) should be plenty. They don't seem to regard it as a problem that would justify doing anything else. The whole point of this thread (and a great many others) is to point out to them that that isn't a very accurate assessment. It IS a real problem, and a pretty major one. If SE hopes to maintain their NA customer base (which they've claimed is pretty important to them), then they'd better start looking at their NA servers once in a while.

    The only conclusion you can make in the face of their silence is that they are benefiting from this at our expense and until we vote with our dollars or cancelled pre-orders to get their attention they will keep giving us the virtual finger. It is what is. At some point annoyance will exceed fun, I will find something else and I will not come back.

    If you want proof go to any JP server and see how much you get spammed by RMT(you will get 0 spam messages). This is for two reasons. JP don't buy gil like we do, and RMTs know better than to spam the JPs, since they know they will face consequences if they do. Unlike on NA servers where the RMTs run around laughing with impunity.

    Even though you feel there are a great many complaining on this forum... if you actually count the people it's not as man as you think. The NA customer base is not going any place any time soon. They will do what they can in a method they feel is right.

    If people don't like it.. like I said speak with your wallet and stop playing. Other wise make a thread just giving suggestions instead of constant complaining. You get more bees with honey.

    I would also like to /sign this.

    Personally, if I wanted to solve this problem, I would want to see a time where players playing in china are given a chance for a free character transfer to the Chinese servers, and then once that is done, I would place a regional IP ban on anyone coming out of China.

    SE even has a built in excuse for doing this, since the Chinese versuion is specifically tailored to compkly with Chinese laws, and people are essentially skirting their countries laws (which breaks ToS) in order to play on our servers instead of their own.

    We would lose some valuable players, yes, however the sacrifice of the 5% of legitimate Chinese players for the eradication of the other 95% of Chinese gil farmers would be worth it.

    To the people who say stop complaining....NO...It makes me feel better to vent. Log on this morning 4 friends requests in less than 10 minutes. I will eventually vote with my wallet. The only thing with that is, it will only benefit the people still playing because I will start playing something else and I will not come back. Only thing I can do is continue to complain then leave once I can't take it no more.

    For any other topic, I'd agree with this. But in this case, suggestions aren't really what's needed. SE already knows how to fix this. Even if they hadn't already gotten plenty of suggestions already, there are quite a few well known industry standard features that just about every other MMO uses to throttle RMT. SE has not bothered to implement any of them. That's the real issue here. What we need here is simply for SE to recognize that this problem is a problem. Once they accept that it's a problem and that they should implement solutions, neither finding those solutions nor implementing them would be much of a roadblock.

    Honestly, I have no idea why getting them to acknowledge that it's a problem worth solving is so hard. They're already losing customers over it. And it doesn't seem that discussing the problem here on the forums is getting through to them. At least it hasn't yet. But there isn't a lot else we can do to tell SE it's a problem besides telling them it's a problem (and showing it in images, discussions of its impact, etc. —all the discussion that goes into these complaints you don't like). So, effective or not, these forum discussions (or constant complaining as you characterize it) is about the only thing we can do to try and get the problem fixed.

    Eventually I guess it could reach a point where there will be no choice but to vote with my wallet and leave, but at that point any fix to the problem would be irrelevant, coming too late to help. I'll already have lost access to my favorite game and SE will already have lost the income from my subscription and purchases. I like the game too much to be willing to give up on it yet.
