It amazes me people feel the need to have an advantage just because they mindlessly grinded for a weapon.

Does this mean FCoB raiders can feel the same way? "I cleared T13, so I want to have a head start for Alexander". Should crafters feel the same way too? Because that one would be fun.

It's not only the relic content that gets a reset. I find it rediculous enough people even think it should be considered. What about people who will start at 3.0? What would happen if they had to go through all the trouble to catch up, even when nerfed?

    Typical "me, me, I, I, I" culture..

Yes, a weapon that took a year's worth of patches to complete is totally equivalent to weapons that randomly drop fully formed from a boss with no extra work.

eh. some people think dreadwyrm weapons are harder to obtain, some think zeta weapons are harder to obtain. they're pretty much the same.

Because I find your point genuinely persuading and well elaborated. Since all the people who are starting heavensward will be hard to catch up, SE should totally give all the beginners a full Lv50 account to toy with.

Oh don't forget, let's just get rid of the money system as well, since someone who has been hard working his or her butt off on crafting or gathering does not need to have an advantage on money too.

All classes should be designed into simple, elegant one-button skill tree that does not require any gaming skills. It's simple enough that players can just press one button to maximize their DPS because mindlessly honing skills with time to try to figure out how to play video game is no bueno.

Go straight ahead and turn right, there's utopia.

Just like every major patch, those who cleared top content will have a boost on the new content. You won't just walk into Ishgard and get handed 10 levels of exp and ilvl150 gear. You'll need to farm it up, and better gear means a faster/easier trip.

Crafting has probably been the worst in that regard, you had to be at the top tier for the last patch to advance to the new content, or spend millions on catch up.
