Sorry i had updated the rules but didn't update the response you quoted.
We are capping teams at 6, you can see my response here for the reasoning.
For the prize, we're giving whichever team wins 6 mount codes. If you have 4 people, you all get a mount + 2 free codes to use as you wish (give to a friend, use to help a buddy get a date, etc...).

I do appreciate the effort put into setting this up, but where else would you suggest this discussion take place? It is specific to this tournament. As someone who wants to participate in the tournament and thus wants the rules to be fair, I don't see what is rude about raising my genuine concerns about the rules on this thread. It's better to discuss and revise now than right before or on the day of the tournament! You guys should discuss this somewhere else. `-` This looks like a completed event thread; It's a little rude to bombard it after people worked hard to even set this up in the first place. I understand that the concern could be genuine, but this discussion can really be better thought out elsewhere.
...and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
If I were genuinely concerned and wanted to voice my opinion, I would be /courteous/ enough to ask whether my opinion was wanted and if there was another means to discuss it. If you had asked, you would have been redirected to the thread where the Aether PvP community has shared Skype contact info.I do appreciate the effort put into setting this up, but where else would you suggest this discussion take place? It's just simple courtesy. I'm just shocked that someone would hijack a thread without even asking if anyone cared about what they thought.

"Hi I have some things to say about this, can I talk to you about it?"
"Sure. Here's where you can reach me, thanks for your concern."
How the convo would've went btw.
No 1v1 bracket?
I'm shocked that someone would claim that expressing ones concerns and opinions that are completely related to the original post is "hijacking a thread" on a public forum. THAT is rude.
Maybe you would have approached it differently -- that's fine. I have my own way of doing things. Neither way is more right or wrong. I wanted to put my response to what I think are unfair rules in the thread about the tournament so other potential competitors could see and consider the changes I suggested. Another reason for saying it here is I know for certain that several other people interested in playing in this tournament have the exact same concerns. Some are saying they won't even sign up if the rule isn't changed to only 4 players per team.
You've made it very obvious why you don't like me pointing out this rule advantage. Changing the rule would take a huge advantage away from your team, and it would level out the playing field for every team. Hence, a more challenging tournament would ensue. That's what we want, a competitive tournament, right?
Consider what I said about the rules and the changes I suggested rationally instead of reacting emotionally -- instead of calling me "rude" and passive-aggressively insulting my courtesy and approach.
And before you react to this, remember, you get what you put out.

1) This is a thread for people who are interested to participate in an already-created event.I'm shocked that someone would claim that expressing ones concerns and opinions that are completely related to the original post is "hijacking a thread" on a public forum. THAT is rude.

2) This is called the "Great Aether Cup" not "Great Aether Discussion."
3) I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that you knew my opinions on the matter when I've never spoken to anyone about my opinions on PVP -- I wanted to play with my 4man, no subs, but I forgot that you are so capable of analyzing me when I simply told you to take things privately. Changing the rule wouldn't take a huge advantage away from my team btw LOL.
4) Yeah, you hijacked this thread when you shoved your opinion in three long posts. You really care about this event? You talk to the creators in private. This thread doesn't exist for discussion.
5) Everyone reacts emotionally. Your quoted reply is a post based on your emotion completely. It begins with "I'm shocked."
And before you react to this, idgaf.

Logos voiced a concern without being rude, I fail to see the problem. Not gonna lie, I'm super turned off to the idea of this after reading those responses. Good luck!
You just couldn't resist taking more shots... well, so be it.
1) That does not mean discussion is not allowed or warranted.
2) Nowhere in the original post does it say "do not discuss" here. You aren't the forum dictator, moderator, or even the original poster.
3) So you agree the teams should be 4 player, no subs? If so, that is more evidence we should change the rule, or at least have a legitimate vote. Just because you tell me to take it privately doesn't make it the right thing to do.
4) I did not "shove" my opinion. I put plenty of time into that post, choosing the right words, giving reasons to back up my suggestions. I did not know the post could be edited after the fact to surpass the character limit, so I condensed the three posts into one post. I care about fairness. Do not tell me what to do; there is nothing more rude than that. And again, you are not the forum queen. Discussion forums are made for discussion.
5) I am just returning what you are giving me. I started out with a rational, objective post about concerns I (and others) have about the rules. You called me "rude" and continued on that track instead of putting any effort into offering any rational, objective input or criticism. I am just like a mirror, showing you what you are putting out.
"idgaf" -- your continued defensive reactions suggest differently!
