Most of the NA players are bad, that's just a fact. But who cares, if they enjoy playing the game to do pretty much nothing at all then more power to them.

It is embarrassing. If you're not first you should want to do better. There are people who play 50+ hours a week and want to do coils but can't find a group. Elitism is partly to blame but it's by and large a community failure.
NA players will rip one another to shreds\ragequit after one mistake, and you think it's shocking that many players don't have this content done?
JP players are far more dedicated. Western players simply don't care about much else than having fun.
I feel neither pathetic nor embarrassed. But then again, I hold no special regard for titles related to pixels and my e-peen requires no stroking.
Japanese players probably just have more players in static groups doing coil. I've noticed a common trend among NA/WoW players. They want gear for every second of every minute of every day they play the game. If they don't get something for running a trial/dungeon/raid they get upset. If they can't one shot a trial they get upset, and ask for nerfs. If they log on and can't constantly make progress every minute they play, they give up. It's almost as if people think the game is a job and the only reason they play is for the gear/reward, and not for simply having fun or killing a few hours. World of Warcraft did a great disservice by making drops 100%, no other online RPG did that before WoW.
Simply put, NA players give up too easy.
It is embarrassing.I guess it all depends on what you find embarrassingThere are people who play 50+ hours a week
My name isn't Ricky Bobby nor is it a competition. If you're not first you should want to do better.
All those numbers are skewed. Needs to show who actually attempted it vs those who completed it, not the whole population as many have never even attempted it or care to.Elitism is partly to blame but it's by and large a community failure.
Yeah, I could have been more clear, replace rewarding with enjoyable. I could not care less about the loot rewards. I meant rewarding as in, " That was fun as hell, wanna queue again?"Would have been a valid criticism...if the non raiders themselves asked for the raid reward to not be better than the welfare option. There are even people arguing that raid rewards should be marginalized some more so that it's all just glamour/titles/minions or 'fancy' graphical rewards because they feel it's 'enough'. The last time the raiders asked for better rewards, they got the +5 ilvl on the allagan weapons from bcob...which then got neutralized again starting on late scob.
I'm willing to be that if the people who dont get to raid gets polled on whether raid gear rewards should be way better than the tome options, majority would vote no.

It's full Japanese server completion of FCOB vs full US/EU server completion of FCOB. It's not skewed at all. It's the same measure on both sides. The only skew is that the Japanese have 5x the completion rate as the US/EU servers.
