    I just want to add that Scholars are not technically cheating the system. The summon skill is still a lvl 4 or whenever you learned it as and the fairy just replaces the Carbuncle.

    It's more that, when synced below level 30, the Fairy automatically provides 75% to 90% of the healing a Conjurer/White Mage does at pretty much no cost allowing the Scholar to provide an additional 75% of a DpS.
