Question about promotional minions

The moogle was meant to only be available at fan fest, but it's SE, I should have expected them to sell it outside of the event, regardless of what they said. To end, there are no fan fest exclusive minions anymore, as the art of eorzia was always going to be released to the public, and the moogle can be bought, but it's 6+ months beyond its original ship date for the people who bought it online

Sorry, but this is incorrect. The Delivery Moogle was never a Fan Festival exclusive item. It was just the initial shipments were sold there first and future shipments were to be made available later via the Online stores in each region.

That's good to hear. I hope in the future you guys never decide to release minions or mounts exclusive to events like that, otherwise it wouldn't be fair to those unable to attend due to things outside of their control since mounts and minions are collections, whereas vanity and merchandise I think is okay since those aren't collections. Basically, no in game collection item should require someone to travel to a location, unless you plan on providing a way for everyone to get it at a later time. Because missing a vanity item is simply a case of being bummed out that you couldn't get it, but at least it doesn't ruin a collection, unless of course it was one piece of a set. It's even worse when we're already paying a monthly sub to have access to all in-game stuff. Please relay this to Yoshi and team.

while i do agree with you in saying everyone should have a chance to get all in-game items. i do also agree with people who think there should be an exclusivity to citron events,

but for the latter i have a badge a bracelet and 2 t-shirts (a fan fest london, and i beat odin) so, to me, those are my exclusives, hell one idea i did like when i was at the fanfest was that someone mentioned we should get the london fan fest t-shirt in game just to say we went to this event in game since the original exclusive set (the moogle set) was later shared with the premium streams :3

when it comes to mounts i say no those are to big

but that fan fest t-shirt idea or vanity head piece i would say should be exclusive to just those going

To be honest, though, I do not understand the cut off dates they put on the minions you get from the soundtracks. I would also like to collect every minion in the game, but because of that silly "use before" date on the dalamund minion, I now have a soundtrack (which I love) but a code that I cannot redeem because it is after a certain date.

For this they gave an incentive to those collector's as well as those who want the soundtrack, they gave you 2 full years to redeem the code.

i am ok with them staying locked now, if they were to go on cash shop i wouldn't want them to be cheep either because the wind up dalamud wind up bahamut and model enterprise (currently the only 3 minions with expression dates) are a bonus saying we supported ffxiv and got these items, to have anyone get them ruins the bonus that was there from those amazing soundtracks and art book


sometimes you need collector items in a game and they give you a long time to get said items, 2 years is a long time, and the wind up dalamud ran out last year at the 31st of dec 2014 when the soundtrack came out early 2013.

somethings should stay exclusive.
