Question about promotional minions

To be honest, though, I do not understand the cut off dates they put on the minions you get from the soundtracks. I would also like to collect every minion in the game, but because of that silly "use before" date on the dalamund minion, I now have a soundtrack (which I love) but a code that I cannot redeem because it is after a certain date.

I agree I don't understand the expiration date either. Very weird. :/

Yeah I am also into minion collecting and I would really appreciate it they put these minions into cash shop too.

I would like to clarify this does not extend to Australia, Iceland and New Zealand!! sure i can order the plushie and book through other retails that send out of japan but code is Region locked so no use!! I would LOOOOVE it if SE would Help out these 3 countries since I live in one of them!! Please give us love too!!

while i do agree with you in saying everyone should have a chance to get all in-game items. i do also agree with people who think there should be an exclusivity to citron events,

but for the latter i have a badge a bracelet and 2 t-shirts (a fan fest london, and i beat odin) so, to me, those are my exclusives, hell one idea i did like when i was at the fanfest was that someone mentioned we should get the london fan fest t-shirt in game just to say we went to this event in game since the original exclusive set (the moogle set) was later shared with the premium streams :3

when it comes to mounts i say no those are to big

For this they gave an incentive to those collector's as well as those who want the soundtrack, they gave you 2 full years to redeem the code.

i am ok with them staying locked now, if they were to go on cash shop i wouldn't want them to be cheep either because the wind up dalamud wind up bahamut and model enterprise (currently the only 3 minions with expression dates) are a bonus saying we supported ffxiv and got these items, to have anyone get them ruins the bonus that was there from those amazing soundtracks and art book


sometimes you need collector items in a game and they give you a long time to get said items, 2 years is a long time, and the wind up dalamud ran out last year at the 31st of dec 2014 when the soundtrack came out early 2013.

somethings should stay exclusive.

Bonus item codes are not region locked. At least those from the soundtracks not, because the japanese version is the only version of the soundtracks.

If you are serious about wanting the moogle outfit, I do have an extra code that I bought from the niconico site. It was $15 from that site (vs. the $20 for the NA stream). If you have paypal, I think we can work out the details.


I had picked up the extra code for a forum member here as they were having some big issues getting the site to accept their credit card info (international sites cause issues ><). They were super frantic as the deadline was coming up, so I picked it up for them, only then to find out they suddenly changed their mind on wanting the outfit. lol.



And I really hope this doesn't flag me as RMT or anything. :X I'm just offering the item at cost for what they would have paid had they been able to obtain it themselves....if this is an issue, let me know. Don't ban me! D:

My thinking here is that since this item was available for purchase by everyone, this would be no different than me buying an item (officially sold by SE) for a friend and then asking them to pay me back. I'm not looking to make a profit on this at all. D:

I like the idea of exclusive items. I mean, I spent well over 2k for everything for the vegas fan fest. While I understand some people are unable to go for extenuating circumstamces, I still think their should be something in-game for going. It doesn't have to be a minion or a mount, but i really did like the idea of a vanity piece, because it isn't easy to coordinate and pay for some of these kinds of things.
