Well, the 4 venomous tails start when you beat the Prosector at 50%. Before that it's only 2. The second Shriek also starts at 50%. The first shriek will target a random player but the tanks, the second shriek will target the MT, so you need to swap and run behind a Renaud before it's too late. Since you have 2 Shrieks, now you need 2 guys kitting them and placing these guys on opposite directions, having the group at the middle-ish to avoid getting petrified.
And yeah, both Melusine, the dancers and the Prosector deal more damage and they have more HP. No echo. And yeah, it's like the fight was back then: Voice kills you, Petrifaction kills you, Shriek kills you, Renauds kill you, the glowy floor kills you. If the boss gets an attack up stack because somebody voiced it, consider yourself dead.
That's why I got terrified when they said Alex HM will be like current Savage. Hopefully that will be a translation mistake .-. Only people who did Savage know the horror... except for T6. That one was a joke.

Because this means SE is just going to keep nerfing crap when they don't need to. What's next, nerfing Keeper of the Lake because there are some idiots who don't know how to do the bosses?
Also I don't get this "it's outdated so I want to push a button and win!", no it's still content with a set difficulty.
As someone on Reddit said: "I hear in 2.58 they'll send a Japanese kid to your house to play the game for you. Please look forward to it. ".
SE wants ppl to be ready for Heavenswards otherwise they wont even buy the expansion
Nerfs happen , SE nerfed everything already (but savage) , adding Echo is a nerf itself.
Outdated content gets nefed overtime , why ppl are suprised ? ~~ ,and yeah Steps was nerfed "too fast" , but brace yourselves , heavensward is coming.
But they could have waited until a week after Heavensward comes out before nerfing it. Unless it's level synced to 50, people would be able to easily beat it at, say, level 52... thus making the nerf pointless![]()
This. Plus with the new gear, we'd be powerful enough to do the adds without the cannons and could then just concentrate on Vishap, the snares, and the Dragonkiller. But now the place is faceroll easy without everybody getting better. There's a difference between nerfing by gear increase (see the original AK, which became easier as people got better stuff) and nerfing by changing numbers on the boss.
That's the key thing... everyone forgets we progressively nerf the content ourselves by outgearing. As an example. the biggest content nerfs in WoW weren't from the dev's, but just players out gearing content to the point it could even be soloed.
That week would have been complained still to "make it a month after" "a patch after" "never". The exclusion this particular crowd is looking for in ishgard(and which shouldn't be endorsed) is brought not only by mechanics, but poor behavior in df. Those same out gearing people you talked about were already out gearing SoF, and still enough chose to quit over doing the fight to warrant this thread and its discussions

If someone was strictly doing main scenario (IE. a new player that's trying to catch up to heavensward, or god forbid a player who started ARR after 3.0 came out), they won't be in full ironworks/zeta like some of us were when we did SoF,) and probably be hitting the bare minimum of ilvl90. Combine that with literally no one doing the fight again for shiggles outside of trial roulette because there's no point, then WELP.This. Plus with the new gear, we'd be powerful enough to do the adds without the cannons and could then just concentrate on Vishap, the snares, and the Dragonkiller. I did SoF with maybe 3 other people who had zetas (others were either diamond or 110) , and we were still clutching the checks since vishap died at the last gate, with all DKs being successful and everything. The DPS check is still kinda there, and having a deadweight dps or two can be really apparent.
