Formal Letter to SE about RMT situation.

No, SE needs to implement things like this...

1) a /tell filter for FC Members & Friends Only.

2) an auto-blacklisting, right-click report RMT feature.

3) a /shout & /yell restriction until after "Call of the Sea" has been completed.

Among other fantastic ideas...

Speaking of #3, they could make it to where the feature doesn't unlock until after having beaten Sastasha in the MSQ.

Targeting gil-buyers only goes so far, so does banning the RMT accounts.

What's sad, is these are all very simple & easy to implement solutions...

Didn't say you had to. You've just been an extremely toxic presence on the boards for some time now. Just that presumptuous attitude alone helps my point (that & treating me rudely as if I don't know it's not an echo chamber). Surprised they let you roam still is all.

On-topic: what're some plausible suggestions of things SE could do to reduce the RMT spam while keeping player chat options generally open? I've made my suggestions in a recent post.

That was presumptuous, lol? It's not "failing to observe the limits of what is permitted or appropriate to acknowledge" by saying that this isn't an echo chamber. Whether you like it or not having unpopular opinions isn't against the forum rules. It's a forum. A public place where multiple ideas and opinions come together. It doesn't mean you have to like all those views and opinions, and it doesn't mean I have to pander to a specific viewpoint just so some of you think I'm "acceptable." It's my right as it is yours to come here and post what you think. This isn't an echo chamber, and I don't really care what you personally think of me.

Larger team to deal with RMT and more chat filters. They are likely already quite aware of those options. Outside of flat out IP bans there is only so much you can really do. There is a reason even older MMOs struggle with this issue even to this day. If players would stop buying the gil we wouldn't even have this problem.
