I believe there is also a limit of how many of the same debuff can be on the boss at 5. So if there are more then 5 bards, some of them will be missing on their venomous bite/windbite dots. Only way to ensure your dot stays on is to reapply it before it runs out in zerg content.

I hope this isn't true. If so, every SMN beyond the fifth in a raid is, essentially, a waste of space. DoTs are pretty much how SMN does the bulk of their damage. This gets even worse when you factor in SCHs applying their own DoTs (and worse still for those bad SCH who never leveled WHM for Cleric's Stance, or are too lazy to put it up).
