We're getting a level increase to 60, which wont effect any ilvl 50+ gear's item levels, and we're getting new and more powerful gear. It would not suprise me in the least if Alexander's normal mode has an iLvl requirement of 200+ let alone the savage mode.It would have to be tuned extremely tightly. Full i110 crafted accessories melded with VIT will give you a pretty large chunk of health, so it would have to be to the point where it's impossible to meet the DPS check without full [whatever] accessories. Maybe they'll really put the effort in to make Savage extremely tightly tuned, but I just kinda doubt it, especially if they expect other raiders to clear it.
well tbh, noone expects to stop Lucrezia or similar groups with something as meaningless as "not enough gear" if they don't get instantly wrecked by the attacks with no way to mitigate more ^^
from what 2.0 coil said to us, Alexander normal ilvl requirement will be the basic farmable stuff for most groups. Hardcore groups will probably clear most of it still with dungeon drops or high end crafting gear depending on how fast they cleared content before preparing for the open gates. Then they'll stomp Alexander savage with as little gear as they could gather to upgrade their stuff

That's true, I think The Order of the Blue Garter cleared T5 with i70 gear and what ever else they picked up in coil on the way. Sub-Par players nothing, not even nerfs, will help. Average Players good gear and team work can over come individual difficulties. But to the true Elite among Elites, Gear is completely irrelevant to their skill level and they will be able to clear ANY content with relative ease.from what 2.0 coil said to us, Alexander normal ilvl requirement will be the basic farmable stuff for most groups. They don't represent the difficulty the average player will experience but they are a good example of my favorite saying "Skill trumps Gear".
Skill and almost-no-latency connections beat gear.
