Vote kick penalty

getting kicked is a punishment on its own, especially for people who get kicked unfairly.

there's also the cases that we have to kick disconnected/offline players. they didn't do anything wrong and shouldn't get any more punishment.

The problem is that people abuse the DC/Offline lot of times, so you never know if they dced because their internetz sux or because they simply didn't want t6o get penalty for leaving. It is the same for the kicking, sometimes people get kicked for no reason, just for the lulz of the trolls, and sometimes they get kicked because they are the trolls.

played since beta n never been kicked xD seen alot of people kicked for petty reasons 1 that annoys me the most is some1 being kicked for being a first timer...

It's annoy me also, they will never know that first timer might be surpass them someday.

So true. I remember being kicked when I was unlocking and entering some hard mode dungeons. I even got the bad luck to have PMS of those players tell me to stop using "my low level gears". In that time, those were my highest ilvl gears o0. Humans can sometimes be " amusing".

We've got an oftentimes quite immature and apathetic community, a system that puts random players together who have no reason to care anything about each others' well being unless they just happen to be caring people, and a feature that can be abused to kick anyone from a bad player to someone you just don't like the look of without any fear of punishment.

What is there to wonder? You're just luckier than some people, that's all.

Now guys I'm honestly getting tired of this, I think we should get penalty to people already who being kicked from party. It's very annoying to see people who just afk until the end doing nothing. I'm one of those who refuse to waste vote kick for someone who's asking cause I'm saving it for real douches.

We get 30min penalty if we leave instance. What if it was changed to 15 mins (or something?) and those who are vote kicked, get the 30min penalty?

I haven't been kicked from any content, I've voted to kick only for AFK/offline only... unfortunately it's hard to votekick bots. I've seen a few of those in the low-level dungeons. It seems the bots always come in pairs.

Pretty much this, sadly. Back before dungeon finders though, people were generally a LOT more nicer to people -- or they played alone and prayed crap was soloable. Half the stuff trolls get away with here wouldn't have been tolerated ten or so years ago on eq1.
