I mostly see tanks/ healers do this (fake dc/afk) in most DF trials, typically after a wipe. I said 10 (but preferably less)because most - if not all- people wont be vote kicked that many times in a day unless they purposely want to be kicked.

Kicking abuse is rampart. Doesn't take much for some to kick another player. Sorry some people are new, learning, and so on. They shouldn't be kicked to begin with let alone awarded a penalty because some don't want them there. I can certainly understand dc'd players or afk players.
The punishment for abandoning was to tackle the people fishing instances for soldiery bonus, griefing/trolling or hunting for friends but leaving everyone else in the lurch as they come and go plus those who fished for certain stages of an instance aka boss fishing. The 30 minute penalty for that is fine in my opinion.
There should not be a vote kick 30 minute penalty however on the person vote kicked because vote kicking has become very abused in terms of kicking so some people have greater chance at drops, vote kicking because a group wanted to replace someone with their friend, vote kicking for laughs and giggles by groups or out of spite and as such the vote kicked person should not be punished on top of what they already are in terms of all the time they end up wasting when queued to get in and effort they may have put in to clearing the content up to that stage before was vote kicked.
The reality is there are more people abusing the vote kick system than there are players afking entire instances only to come back when roll for loot and we already have in place a way to kick such players from the group which is unfortunately being abused in other ways by some vote kickers. There should be a severe limit on the amount of times you can vote kick during say 24 hours and combine this with the vote kicked player not being able to rejoin that specific group during that specific run but other than that more effort needs to be put towards resolving the vote kick abuse going on than tackling long term afk non-contributing players.

That has been my experience, been kicked out numerous time for no reason. The last time happened just a few days ago when I was doing my duty roulette high level on my summoner, I was kicked just when we arrived at the first boss. When I was leveling pugilist for the cross-skills for my bard and ninja, someone complained about my low DPS and asked me why I did not have the monk job, since it boosts DPS, so I said I was solely doing it for the cross-skills for my bard and had no intention to get the monk job, and I was kicked on the spot.

Where on earth were you that they kicked you for not having your MNK stone? And what skill where you trying to get? Mantra? That has been my experience, been kicked out numerous time for no reason. With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.

SE dug their own hole with vote kick abuse when they allowed majority rule for arbitrary reasons instead of reserving it solely for afks and griefers.
This is just one of those things where you just have to bear with the flaws.
I've seen plenty of threads about players who demand to get a kick so they can do something else, and if they don't get it are like 'fine I'll just sit here and do nothing until you kick me'... I haven't run into that myself where someone threatened to ruin a dungeon run like that, but it seems like a situation that's easy to report for breaching the ToS and for a GM to follow up on since they can read chat logs (and other info I'm sure, though I don't know to what extent). I mean it sounds like players that do this incriminate themselves since they're coming right out and saying what they're going to do of they don't get a free pass on leaving.
