We will most likely be replacing FCoB gear in the first half of levels after 50 and then eventually replacing them with new AF for almost sure.

You should see it from a view of a new player. I think after Steps they will be around i90 to i100 when hitting the expansion. So the level and first tome phase could als be used to catch them up to i130.

You also should remember, there will be no new relic before 3.1, what would be 3 month after release. I really can't believe, that they will make our hardly grinded relic completely useless for about 3 month, especially after he said, it would be worth do finish it before expansion. The relic was always good enough to start raiding with.
