I've noticed lag spiked on Tonberry. First was in Limsa and I thought perhaps it was because there was a lot of people, but then when I moved to Lavender Beds there was still a lot of lag spikes too.
I hope they can fix them.
Sounds like routine maintenance. Got to give the servers a fresh reboot.
PvP is almost unplayable at the moment.
Mass freezes (for over 10 seconds), mass disconnects...
If they would fix something it would be announced as emergency maintenance and hotfix stuff.
So it will be a maintenance to change something. As we don't expect new content till expansion, there is only echo and nerfing FCoB left.
(Or nerfing Steps?)

An MMO expansion launch is never going to get "done right". There will be crashes, there will be queues, and there will be emergency server maintenance.
If God launched an MMO these things would still remain.
There's PVP in this game? When did that happen? >_>

I hope they wait to nerf FCoB... I'm on phase 3 of T13 ugh slow down SE please I want to complete it before it's nerfed. So much sadness right now =/

I have noticed Lag spikes when I run, I thought it was my Laptop or connection since no one seemed to have them. Another I felt the game became slower after the last patch. so its reasonable.
Because the overwhelming success of the game at launch was not THAT predictable ^^
I think they learned now. Lags and crashes haven't been that bad on patch day for the few last ones, so I expect some lags and crashes (and maybe overloaded instances in the first few days) but nothing as bad as 2.0 launch
If the devs handle FCoB like they handled BCoB and SCoB, T13 won't be nerfed at all. Remove Echo and you're clear.
Though maybe they'll nerf it eventually (with T5 & T9) to allow people to finish a "now useless" raid for the story behind it. Maybe. Maybe not.![]()

Please dear god do not nerf FCOB, if you have to do anything add echo, that's enough of a nerf to every turn and people who don't want it can click it off.
SCOB was just...laughable after the nerfs.
There isn't much to nerf anyway... If you want to keep the mechanics that is (SCoB's nerfs didn't remove the mechanics, they just made them mostly insignificant)
Can't nerf T10's vulnerability (maybe remove thunder's AoE effect ?) without making it useless to stack (echo will already allow for less people to stack)
can't nerf T11 (well, maybe the cube's AoE can be nerfed)
T13 will probably not be nerfed at all besides echo
can't comment on T12 as I've never tried it (was stuck on T11 and sub ran out), but from what I've seen on some streams, only bennu's damage and maybe the brand of purgatory could be nerfed
